Hinata felt her arm pull painfully behind her, pulling her deeper into that chakra virtually made of killing intent. The fifth Hokage had Naruto cornered against a wall, her fist glowing with dangerous power. Yamato was frantically working through hand seals, desperately trying to find the right balance of chakra.

A small group of Hyuga stood slightly behind the two important figures. The Hokage's Anbu had been called in, though they kept their eyes trained on the Hyuga who looked ready to assassinate Godaime-sama at any moment.

"Don't take a step a step closer, you won't take her from me! Not again! She's mine..."

"Please Hokage-sama, let us take Hinata-sama back and just kill the mon-the boy"

Those were the wrong words, Naruto immediately flared up, his chakra lighting up the deserted sky, accusing eyes boring into the once members of his pack only "hinata hime" was left.

The fox in Naruto emerged, his sentient being being pushed aside in favour for pure primal instinct.

"Yamato now!"

Yamato's wood shot forward, trying to restrain the boy, but the Hokage had called the order just a second too late. She had allowed compassion to blind her, just like her predecessors.

Naruto flew out of the village, his cloak of chakra rendering all attacks useless. The 'rescue party' could only watch as Naruto dragged Hinata further and further away.
