She looked at her clock. 7:15 A.M. Crap, she thought to herself.
"Oi, Kuro you're going to be late."
Zane.
Zane was her annoying older brother, and unfortunately her legal guardian. At a young age, Zane and Kuro were placed into foster care. For several years they both lived with separate foster families. That was until Zane turned 18, and was able to become the legal guardian for his sister, Kuro. Zane was tall. Really tall. And really lanky. He had the same dark brown hair as Kuro, but one thing that drastically differed between them was their eye color. While Kuro has a bright ocean blue eye color, Zane has unique soft purple pupils that could make you feel as if he was peering into your very soul. Aside from eye color, Zane and Kuro had many common differences. For instance, Zane was always kind of quiet, but solemn. Because of his charm, he was always making new friends, and never had any problem with approaching strangers. He was also hardworking. And it's because of how hard he liked to work that he landed a full-time job working for a local farming company that usually consumed most of his time. Kuro was outspoken. Some might even say obnoxious. She usually always speaks her mind, which sometimes gets her into a lot of trouble, that Zane has to charm her out of. So whether or not either of them wanted to admit it, Zane and Kuro needed each other, and probably always would.
"Yeah, yeah I'm up," Kuro groggily directed towards her brother, who was already gone.
She walked from her room to the bathroom down the hall. Grabbing her toothbrush, she puts toothpaste on her brush and slowly begins to brush her teeth. That's when she finally gets a look at her disheveled face. Her bright blue eyes look glossy and her long brown hair is hanging past her shoulders. After gargling some mouthwash, she grabbed the hair-tie that was around her wrist and pulled her silky hair into a tight, high ponytail. She smiled at herself in the mirror, her perfect teeth smiled back.
The worst part was next. The uniform. Blech. Seigaku is suppose to be a really good school, but man, these ugly sea-foam green uniforms are not helping anyone, she thought. Once dressed, Kuro looked in her full-length mirror.
"Well," she said out-loud, "they made sure the uniforms cover any goods!" And it did. Her tall, in-shape, and "blessed" body now made her look plain and frumpy. Grabbing her bag, she headed for the front door, ready to begin her first day at Seigaku.
Before she knew it, she was standing in front of Seishun Gakuen Academy. She took a deep breathe, and prepared to step forward.
"Watch out!" someone on a bike screamed, "My brakes don't work!" Kuro fell back on her butt, trying to avoid being ran over. Turning her head, mouth gaped opened, she watched as the bike crashed into a bike rack.
"Dammit!" The boy shouted while flailing his arms, "Dammit! Stupid bike!"
Kuro pulled herself off the dirty ground, dusted the bottom of her skirt, and ran up to the mysterious biker.
"Hey!", she hollered while approaching him, "are you okay? That looked pretty bad."
"Huh?" the boy turned around and face her, his eyes getting wide in shock, "I almost ran you over! I'm sorry! Are you okay?!"
Kuro noticed his hair first. Kind of pointy, a purplish black color. "Uhm, I'm okay. I'm just glad to see you're not hurt. Maybe you need a new bike." She pointed to his piled up heap on the rack, "I don't think that one will work very well anymore."
"Haha," he laughed, "I needed a new one anyway. By the way, I haven't seen you around before. Are you new? My name is Momshiro Takeshi, but I insist you call me Momo."
Kuro smiled nicely, "yes I am new. My name is Kuro Mizuki, but I just prefer Kuro. I'm a sophomore, just starting this year. Is there anyway you'd like to direct me to homeroom?"
