Disclaimer: Nope, not mine. Can I have it?

"You made popcorn?" Gabriel asked as the delicious aroma filled their office. For a second he looked like a jealous three year old and Riley had to bite back her smile.

"Yep and I'm going to eat it all myself" her tone is teasing and his smile nose-dived into a frown. She swiped the bowl away from him just as he was about to reach in. He pouted, giving her a wounded look as he made his way dejectedly back to his own desk. She rolled her eyes, secretly grateful for his childish antics. There hadn't been a lot of cause for joy lately after they barely managed to stop a major terrorist plot.

Barely a minute into the mountain of paperwork (which had been accumulating over the past few months and may or may not have a lot to do with a certain super-weapon's antics and recklessness hence the popcorn flavoured revenge) he got up, returning to her desk. She slapped his hand away scoldingly before it could make contact with the bowl.

"Sharing is caring" he said, mocking a wounded look in her direction, which she caught out of the corner of her eye.

"That's nice" she replied, not looking up from the form she was filling out.

"It is, isn't it?" he gave her his most charming smile, showing off his dimples. She would be lying if she said it didn't affect her but what he didn't know wouldn't hurt him.

"Is there a reason you're still here?" she asked, raising an eyebrow expectantly. His face fell as he once again meandered despondently back to his desk, letting out an over-exaggerated sigh as he sat down sulking. Sometimes he really did remind her of a child.

"You're mean" he said and she bit the inside of her cheek, trying not to laugh.

"Well maybe if you finish all of your paperwork I'll let you have some" she replied mischievously. It was low she knew but she just couldn't help herself. It was almost comical the way his face instantly brightened, perking up as he grabbed a file and pen. She laughed at his antics, shaking her head. Seeing it he sent her a smaller, genuine smile causing butterflies to break out in her stomach.

They worked in comfortable silence for over an hour, occasionally broken by the crunch of popcorn. Her hand ached from filling out so many forms but she was halfway done and determined to finish.

"Riley" Gabriel said, catching her attention.

"Yeah" she mumbled in reply, pen scribbling across the page.

"I've finished quite a bit, can I have some popcorn now?" he asked, hopeful look on his face.

"Sure" she replied distractedly. He leapt up, making a bee-line for the bowl.

"Uh Riley?" He said, far closer to her than he was moments ago, his close proximity causing a shiver down her back. She looked up to find him leaning over her shoulder, crestfallen. She felt her lips pull downwards, unhappy simply because he was.

"There's none left" She rolled her eyes causing him to glare at her for what he apparently deemed a very serious situation. It held no real heat thus it had no effect on her.

"Guess I'll just have to make some more then" she said and his smile immediately returned, drawing out one of her own.

When she returned, fresh bowl in hard it barely touched the desk before Gabriel attacked, devouring it.

"Thanks partner" he mumbled through a mouthful of popcorn. She shook her head, a small smile finding its way onto her face.

"Anytime."
