Shilo carefully downed the tablets. Nathan nodded in approval, blew her a quick kiss, and closed the door. She closed her eyes and drifted-

"Hey!" She jerked upright, startled by the sudden sound. A hollow tapping sounded from her window. From the bed, she couldn't pinpoint its source. Shrugging, she settled back onto the pillows.

"Hey, kid!" Too loud to be ignored. With an impressive roll of her eyes, Shilo got up to investigate. A familiar figure was peeking in her window.

"Please let me in," Graverobber begged plaintively.

"Why?" Shilo demanded.

"It's freezing out here." A pause.

"No." Shilo turned her back.

"Please? I'll be your best friend..." She swivelled back round to face him. He had his face pressed against the window, looking every inch the lonely puppy in the pet shop. Heaving a huge sigh, she jerked the window open violently. Graverobber toppled off the sill, landing face-first on her carpet. She stifled a giggle.

"Laugh while you can, missy," he reprimanded.

"Huh?"

"No idea." His gaze travelled back to the open window. He placed a foot on the sill wonderingly.

"Leaving already?"

"Well...yeah. Coming?" Shilo stared at him as if he'd gone crazy.

"I can't! You know that!" He raised his eyebrows.

"I won't tell if you don't. Night's still young. Could get you back here before midnight." She paused, tempted.

Graverobber held out his hand. Shilo glanced around her room. Suddenly the air was stifling.

If I have to stay here, I'll go insane, she thought. Her mind was made up. She grabbed his hand. He smiled.

"Now, how much do you trust me?" Without giving her a chance to reply, he leapt.
