Two former costars getting drinks together shouldn't have been this awkward, but here they sat, in complete silence, sipping their beers. Richard wasn't sure why he had agreed to it. Mark had practically been eye-sexing him the entire time he was at karaoke, stirring up feelings that Richard shouldn't have been feeling in public, especially with ship-happy fangirls all around them. The last thing he wanted was to be stuck with him, these feelings still pretty unresolved.
"So, um, tonight was fun," Mark said suddenly, obviously trying to break the awkward silence that had enveloped them. "You guys do this before every con?"
Richard nodded. "Yeah, it kind of escalated into this big thing. It started off just being a fun time in a bar, but I guess the fans liked it," he said. The silence fell on them again and Richard quickly took a gulp of his beer.
Mark nodded and looked down on his half-empty mug. All of a sudden, he quickly turned his stool to face Richard, startling the younger actor. "So what are we going to do about this?" he asked, his hand idly stroking up and down the mug. Richard's eyes followed the movements, his thoughts filling up with images of where that hand would be better suited.
He shook his head quickly and looked up into the older man's blue eyes. "A-about what?" he asked.
Mark laughed darkly and lifted his mug to his mouth, taking a drink. Richard watched as Mark licked away the froth on his lips, shifting in his seat to cover up his growing "problem."
"About this,"Mark repeated, gesturing between Richard and himself. Richard's eyes widened and he coughed, turning away from him.
"I, um, I don't know what… what you're talking about," he said quickly. Mark laughed again and Richard could feel the heat rising in his cheeks.
"Yeah, sure," Mark said sarcastically. "Okay, so I've got a proposition for you." Richard swallowed and looked back at Mark.
"Yeah?" he said, not liking the smirk growing on Mark's face.
Suddenly, he felt a pair of lips press against his, but before he had time to react, they were gone.
"Meet me at my room in 10 minutes," Mark said, finishing his beer. He stood up, threw a couple of bucks on the counter and winked at Richard before walking away.
Richard sat there, trying to process what had just happened, before putting his own cash down at the bar and followed the direction Mark had went.
