Well I actually got around to makin this... This is the prequel to His Mark. This chapter is really short. Even for me. But there should be another chapter much longer soon. :3 The story starts at the last battle between Demise and Link. I'll upload soon! Hopefully this becomes a decent story.
The sky went dark. The earth rumbles. Evil was rising. Link thought back to his many encounters with Ghirahim. He thought about the times the sword vented his thoughts. He thought about the sword's ego, and how amazing he thought he was. Link felt pity for Ghirahim. Ghirahim was like Fi, forever tied to one master. Link thought that maybe Ghirahim, the narcissistic demon lord, felt fear. Even without Ghirahim's help, Demise would rise again. It was only fate. If Ghirahim didn't try his best to revive his master, eventually he would rise and destroy Ghirahim. The spirit had no one. No friends, no one there to help him when in need. Link felt lucky to have those to help him. Everyone in Skyloft, Fi, and Zelda. But the sword's own master would throw him away. Link had to help him. He had to make an effort to be there for Ghirahim. He wouldn't be able to call himself a hero if he didn't. If the master dies, would the sword still live on? Link pondered things over for a minute.
Link's sword flashed blue and Fi appeared before his eyes. "Master Link, I detect several ways to defeat Demise."
Link nodded. "I wish there was a way to do so while keeping to my ideals of helping the other sword."
Fi paused for several seconds. "Master, I believe there is a solution to defeating Demise while keeping to your ideals."
Link perked up. "And that would be Fi?"
She paused a moment more. "If Demise's primary weapon was taken away, his defeat would be 30% easier to obtain."
"And my ideals?" Is there really a possible way…? Link thought.
"If a spirit sword's master is truly defeated, there is and 85% chance that the sword would be able to find a new master within 24 hours. After 24 hours it is most likely the spirit would dissipate and the sword would become an ordinary weapon. Also, a spirit sword's master is restricted to only keeping one spirit. This is all I know on this subject."
"So if we were able to save him, he'd have to find a new master, and it wouldn't be me. Who would we find in less than 24 hours?"
Fi kept quiet. Link pondered this more before accepting this as his only option.
"Well, let's get this over with Fi." Link sighed.
"Yes master."
Yeah short chapter. I'll make another chapter soon! R&R? hope you like
