A/N: It's short but to the point. Hope you all enjoy it. Just a little something to commemorate September 11th. Thank you!
We remember; they remember; everyone remembers...
Like it was any other ordinary day Joe Hardy rolled out of bed; THUMP, on the floor.
But yet it wasn't an ordinary day. It was a day of remembrance. A day of hope...and frightening memories.
Joe Hardy took into account that fateful day. He remembered exactly where he'd been. Mrs. Scott's English class poking fun at his friend Chet Morton...just another ordinary day.
Frank Hardy took into account that fateful day. He'd been in History with Phil Cohen learning about the settlement of Jamestown...just another ordinary day.
Vanessa Bender took into account that fateful day. She'd been in Art with Mr. Porter. She was comparing her paintings with those of her friend, Callie's...just another ordinary day.
Biff Hooper took into account that fateful day. He'd been in Chemistry class carefully attempting to evaporate salt from a water solution with Tony Prito...just another ordinary day.
Hope Peter's took into account that fateful day. She'd been in study hall when she received a phone call from her mother. Her Uncle John worked in the World Trade Centers. Hospitalization was urgent...not another ordinary day.
Fenton Hardy took into account that fateful day. His many acquaintances who worked in New York flashed through his fogged mind as he watched CNN...not another ordinary day.
Laura Hardy took into account that fateful day. She thought of her nephew. A young fireman. He lived in New York City. She prayed...not another ordinary day.
Like it was any other ordinary day Joe Hardy rolled out of bed; THUMP, on the floor.
But yet it wasn't an ordinary day.
Everyone remembered. No one could forget. It affected some more personally than others...but it affected everyone.
God bless those who's lives were lost. God bless those who's lives were affected. May we always remember...
Like the Sea
Remembrance
The day has come to join our hands
and thank God we live in this land
Look at your neighbors with different eyes
Open your ears to hear their cries
Open your souls to defend our rights
To terror that comes like a thief in the night
Hold out your hand to help your brother
Kiss your children hug your father and mother
Freedom is something we should all hold dear
and never let it go because of fear
open your heart to those in need
This is a message we should all heed
Pray for those who lost their lives
Pray for all their husbands and wives
Pray for the children left behind
Pray for the souls we cannot find
This is a day we will always remember
As freedom is attacked the 11th day of September
Never forget that we are one
We must stand together the day has come
For united we stand divided we fall
God bless America God bless us one and all.
