"Come boy!" A man with dark olive skin and flaming red hair walks down the hall. He had don black armor and carries a huge broadsword. He is bigger and taller than most men and is said to be built like a god. Behind him is a boy with pale skin, dirty blond hair, and strong blue eyes. The boy is thin though with obvious muscle and is garbed in a green tunic, leggings, and a green hat. On his back is a shield, a quiver, a bow, and a sword. The two travel down a stone hall lined with a red carpet and silk curtains. They walk up to a pair of huge double doors as they are admitted entrance by two guards. While the bigger of the two walks past without even acknowledging their existence, the smaller of the two thanks them and waves. They head into a meeting room full of generals and leaders; each of a different tribe or providence. This is the land of Hyrule and they are in the middle of a meeting about the danger that seems to be outside their beloved castle. The air appears to be flowing with fear and distrust as everyone tries to find out the cause of their troubles, or at least what to do about it. A king sits in a chair at the end of the table with his daughter off to the right. She smiles when she sees the young boy but frowns at the tall man next to him. The two warriors take their seats as the meeting starts. The king, King Darceus, starts it off as he stands up and clears his throat. The room falls silent. "As we all very well know, there is darkness surrounding this kingdom. Many monsters have appeared suddenly and saw fit to attack the villages with little rhyme or reason. Along with our monster problem, many strange happenings seem to have taken place in many homes and towns across the land. During the last week, you all were to investigate your homes and lands to try and discover the cause or try to at least come up with a solution to our troubles."
A goron named Darunia climbs to his feet. Being the leader of the mountain loving beings, he is surprisingly gentle and cheerful. This time though he carries an air of strength and responsibility. "The volcano on the mountain is erupting constantly and without end. We believe that Volvogia has been released from his imprisonment and is now on a rampage in the Death Mountain. The ongoing eruptions have not yet reached enough power to endanger the surrounding villages but we are sure that it won't remain like that forever. As for the cause, it seems to be coming from somewhere in the castle."
The Cheiftain of the Rito tribe stands regally and nods to the land-dwelling goron. "I too have seen changes in Dragon Roost City. The air currents have become monstrous and my people have resorted to walking around Hyrule for our safety. On top of that, nearby collections of Aeralfos have made my people fearful of their lives and I have resorted to evacuating the citizens, just in case. Just as Darunia claims, the cause seems to be coming from the castle. I think my Lord that there is a traitor in your castle and advise caution for your well being."
King Darceus nods after hearing their troubling reports and turns to the man and boy. "King Ganondorf and Sir Link, do you have anything to report. You two are usually the first to arrive and the first to speak."
Ganondorf is King of the Gerudo thieves and one of King Darceus's most loyal subjects, the boy Link is his pupil. Link is taught the ways of fighting and politics by the Gerudo King who has raised him as a son since his parents mysteriously disappeared when the poor child was three. Link smiles at a sheikah boy named Sheik from across the table before turning to the Gerudo King. "Master?"
Ganondorf smirks as he gets up. "I'm afraid I have been a bit preoccupied my lord. I have also noticed the magic coming from this castle during my stay here. It is powerful magic of abnormal proportions so I believe one of the many magic users in the castle might be the cause."
The princess is not impressed by the desert kings statement. "You're a magic user Ganondorf and you've been in the castle for three months. Maybe your preoccupation is none other then you creating this danger."
Link glares at his Master's accuser before he decides to speak. "I am a magic user as well, Princess Zelda, and if I am not mistaken her majesty also wields magic. Almost as much as my Master even. The fact that we all use magic is not enough proof to send someone to the gallows, or else all three of us along with all other mages and magic users in the castle would be waiting in line to be hanged."
Zelda is shocked that Link had jumped to defend the man she has come to question with increasing distrust. For now she decides to brush it aside under the condition that Link and her currently hold a relationship of sorts. King Darceus decides to end it here before someone decides to throw more needless accusations. "I'll have my guards look into the matter and search the castle, and I ask for as many sheikah as possible to keep an eye on each of the mages, healers, and other magic users of the castle. We will need to find this traitor before this darkness decides to cause more damage."
