She was perched on the edge of the cliff, her slender figure a silhouette in the horizon. Her legs were swung over the edge and she was humming her father's lullaby to herself as tears silently rolled down her face. But she knew she would see him soon so she smiled to herself.

She was looking for a release; a way out of this unbearable pain. And she finally found it.

She had stopped phasing for years now. So she knew if she jumped, the pain would be gone. Forever. No complications. No confrontations.

And after all this time, after fighting continuously her whole life, battling with the pain, trying, she just couldn't deal with it anymore. So she did it.

She jumped.

She fell slowly into the depths of the ocean and didn't once think about fighting. She let death take her. She knew it was her time to go.

She was in a much better place now. Free from pain. Free.
