He gives me a strange look, as if in disbelief. "Really?" "Yes, really! I demand that you release my mother this instant!" "I'm a king, I can do whatever I want!" "Don't go using that excuse again! I'm a princess, we are both royalty, our powers are equal." Wyitt made it down to the other side of the field, and saw what his father had done. "Father, release her at this instant.""Why should I?" "Don't even think about it, you're ruining a life here! This has been going on for far too long, you tore up the peace treaty! Everything was perfect, then you ruined it!" Wyitt looked his father in the eyes, and he reluctantly released my mother, and she starts to smile a little, for the first time in a while. My "grandmother" just died and it sent mother into a grieving period, she wouldn't even let father reach out to her, that was a first. "Why even bother? Why?" My mother was going nuts, so Wyitt and I took her inside the castle, and ordered for guards, by all the doors. We took her to her bedroom, let her sleep, leaving Wyitt and I alone. We walked around the castle, hand in hand, watching all the servants hustle around the halls. I had seen all these sights before, the doors, the walls, the flowers by my bedroom door, everything was so familiar, I was like Wyitt's guide, he needed to know about my home, then I had to go to his, which he lived with his father, for now anyway. He suddenly stopped walking, and looked at me. "I love you, Anissa." "Me too." I reply He leans in and kisses me, I kiss him back, we stand there for a while. We felt safe in each other's embrace, the real world isn't so safe, but it is when we're together.
