So decided delete my old SasuSaku story and wrote a new one. One because I can't remember the direction the old story was going in. Two writing in Sasuke's POV is not easy. Three I like writing in girls POV. Does that make me sexist? Maybe. Anyway I think this will be a better direction. It's going to be very different from the old story. Sorry to the fans of the old story!

Disclaimer: doesn't belong to me but the random ideas floating in my brain do.

There comes a time in a person's life where everything is just right. Life isn't perfect but it's pretty damn close. Friends are great and supportive while your boyfriend is equal amount of sexy, smart, not completely arrogant, with a dash of slight over protectiveness. Family life wasn't great but everything else in life made up for the workaholic, never around, distant parents. Yes life was great.

Until one faithful day everything changed and life would forever be ruined…..

Just kidding, that's too cliché.

Life may kick you in the face from time to time but you always get back up and raise your middle finger right back at it. Sometimes these kicks are meant to better a person's life than to cause harm. Of course no one ever pays attentions to the signals.

Sakura Haruno of course wasn't ready and plain didn't want this change that was to come in her life. She was stuck in her delusional bubble. Anything that was out of normal threatened her safe world. Change was coming and it was bringing a bulldozer.

A day in the Uchiha household was always a joy. Mikoto Uchiha doted, gossiped, and stuffed Sakura with home cooked meals. Fugaku Uchiha complimented her academics and encouraged her to take on new challenges. Itachi was very sweet and caring. He gave Sakura sage advice and insight to the male minds, namely his foolish younger brother's mind.

Then there was Sasuke.

The overprotective, intelligent, handsome devil that was Sakura's boyfriend.

Yes world Sakura was dating the oh so famous (well high school famous but let's not dwell on the tiny details) Uchiha.

Today was like any other day. It was a typical afternoon in the Uchiha home. Mikoto was filling in Sakura on all the latest neighborhood gossip while preparing dinner. Sakura was busy going over her physics notes while working on her homework. She was very good at multitasking and while working on her school work she listened to all the Uchiha matriarch was saying.

"You will never believe what I just found out. You know the vacant house down the street? It's finally off the market. Someone bought it."

This caused Sakura to stop writing and look up in surprise. Physics could wait. This was news! "You mean the haunted one?"

Mikoto smiled and chuckled lightly. She turns off the stove and turns to look at her younger son precious girlfriend. "Not haunted sweetie but yes the house where the previous owner died in. Old age got her."

Sakura shrugged "still couldn't pay me enough money to live in a place where someone lost their life in."

Mikoto nodded her head in understanding. Smiling she asked Sakura if she could help her set the table. Sakura quickly put away her school supplies which had been scattered all over the table. She was always at the Uchiha household sometimes she feels she actually lives there. Well she might as well have lived there. She spent more time there than her own home.

With her books and papers cleared off the table Sakura helped set the table. While working Mikoto continued to chat, "the strangest part is I haven't seen a single person come in or out of the house."

"How do you know someone bought it?" Sakura asked politely.

"The realtor is an acquaintance of Fugaku. He was just as surprised since he's been having such a hard time selling the house."

Sakura's curiosity was peaked. She wondered what kind of person or people bought the house. Where they ghost hunters? Maybe they were secret agents that need a safe house while they hunted down an infamous criminal? All Sakura knew was the second Mikoto spotted the new home owner(s) she would drag all of them to meet them. Physics completely out of her mind Sakura speculated Mikoto as to who the new neighbors would be like.

With the table set and the food all done Sakura went to gather the men of the house. Her first spot was the office Fugaku was currently in while doing some paperwork. He was the head of the police force so he often brought home a mountain load of paperwork.

Knocking before opening the door slightly Sakura informed the head of the house that dinner was ready. Fugaku sighed and nodded. Sakura giggles knowing that head of the Uchiha family was glad for the break and shuts the door.

She went up the stairs and knocked at the first door to her left. Itachi was sitting at his desk with books scattered around. He was currently attending college. The best in the city. Sakura opened her mouth but Itachi spoke before her, "I will be down in a minute. Thank you for coming to get me."

Sakura pouted before shutting the door. He always did that.

Last but not least Sakura went two doors down before she entered her boyfriend's room. There was no need to knock since they were dating and it's not like she needed to be that polite to Sasuke.

Sasuke was sitting in the middle of his bed with his laptop sitting in front of him.

"Hey dinner is ready."

"Ok I'll be down in five minutes." He didn't look up from the screen.

Sakura furrowed her eyebrows. "What are you looking at?"

Sasuke still didn't lift his gaze but answered, "waiting for a video to be uploaded."

"Can't you watch it after eating?"

"I could but I chose not to."

Now Sakura was really curious about what this video was about. She walked into his clean room and sat next to him on his queen sized bed. She looked at the laptop screen to see a YouTube page. Sasuke refreshed the page but nothing new came up.

Sakura studied the page. All the videos on the page were of music. She could tell by the titles of the videos. She was slightly creeped out by what was on the thumbnail of the videos. It was a person dressed in all black and nothing but the eyes were visible. What the hell was Sasuke looking at?

Sensing her discomfort Sasuke turns his gaze from the screen to his girlfriend. "It's nothing weird or creepy. It's a band I found on YouTube and this is their page."

"So why can't you see the face?"

Sasuke looks back at the screen and refreshes the page. Nothing.

"They're quite popular on YouTube. They don't show their faces so I assume they don't the world to know who they are."

"What kind of music is it?"

Sasuke shifts slightly now he was getting uncomfortable. "You wouldn't like it."

Sakura frowned. "How do you know that?"

"A lot of people don't."

"You should let me be the judge of that."

Sasuke sighed and once again refreshed the page. A new video popped up. He quickly plays the video. Slightly insulted that she was ignored Sakura looks and listens to the music video.

It didn't sound good already.

The person who she assumed to be the lead singer was whispering the beginning of the lyrics. What he was saying was a little unnerving. Bodies hitting the floor. Then he yelled out "floor!"

The song was only 30 seconds in and Sakura couldn't help but flinch at the guitar, the drums, and the singing. Now she understood why Sasuke said a lot of people didn't like this type of music. It was metal.

Sasuke was lost in his own world. Head banging to the beat of the drums and his fingers were moving as if he were playing the guitar. Trying to ignore the song playing Sakura took a closer look at the band members.

The lead singer was dressed in black from head to toe. So was the rest of the band, there were four members. The camera took turns showing each member throughout the song. The singer got a little more spotlight.

The singer's eyes were green. A very light green that made it really stand out against the black. It seemed he wore some kind of mask that covered most his face but his eyes. Strangely his voice didn't sound muffled by the mask as he sang. He was wearing a leather jacket, black jeans ripped at the knees, and black vans. He also wore chains on his pants. Sakura was certain leather jackets didn't come with a hood so the lead singer had to be wearing a sweater underneath because he was wearing a hood.

Next member to be shown was the one playing the bass. He wore a regular black jacket but the hood had fur on it. The hood was also covering his head. His pants were actually slacks and shoes to match the slightly professional look. His eyes were a sky blue like her best friend Ino's eyes. He was also wearing some kind of mask.

The drummer came up next. He was really into the song as he was banging on the drums and his head was also moving around. Sakura could only tell that he was wearing a black sweater, the hood up, and also wore a mask. The drums covered most of his body. His eyes from the brief view of his face seemed to be a honey brown color.

Last was the band member playing the guitar. Sakura was shocked to see it was a girl. She could tell because the guitar player was wearing tight black skinny jeans, nice boots that Ino would kill for, and well Sakura just knew! The guitar player was also wearing a leather jacket but that stopped at her stomach. She had on what looked like a thin sweater underneath with the hood up. The mask was also on and her eyes were dark like coal.

Sakura didn't know what to make of this. She felt those people would come out of the screen and mug her. How on earth did Sasuke come across this band?

The song wrapped up with the singer yelling and the last word was "don't".

Sasuke liked the video and shut his laptop. He turned to look at a shocked Sakura. He bit his lip before asking, "what did you think?"

Sakura blinked. "I'm not sure."

Sasuke sighed and got off is bed. "Well don't think too much about it. Come on let's eat."

Sakura just nodded her head and followed her boyfriend to the dining room. Reaching the dining table everyone was seated and began to eat. Sasuke didn't bring up the music video and Sakura was glad that she could take about other things than what she just heard. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was light and cheerful.

Afterwards Sasuke drove Sakura home. She only lived three streets over but Sasuke insisted perverts lurked at every corner. They were in a safe neighborhood so Sakura doubted that. She still let Sasuke drive her home. She knew it made him feel better plus the other members of the Uchiha household wouldn't have her walk home. No matter how close.

Sasuke parked in front of her house and kissed her before she got a chance to unbuckle her seatbelt. "Look don't think too hard about the music video."

"Why do you like them so much?"

Blushing Sasuke looks out his window. "Their music speaks to me."

Sakura had a hard time believing that. Was he listening to the same song she was? That song just sang of letting bodies hitting the floor. She was assuming the singer was talking about dead bodies. He also repeated multiple times that nothing was wrong with him. That usually meant something was very very wrong. How did any of that speak to him?

As if sensing her thoughts Sasuke reaches over and grabs her hand. "Look they have really good songs. It's not for everyone. You just have to pay attention to what and how the singer is presenting the song."

Knowing this is what Sasuke liked Sakura smiled softly. She had the music she liked and he had his. She wouldn't think of him any different. Sakura gave him one last kiss before getting out his car and entering her house.

As usual her parents weren't home. It didn't bug her. She was in a good mood. Minus the weird band Sasuke liked, today was a pleasant night at her second family's house.

The next day Sakura was awoken quite rudely by someone banging with excess force at the front door. Still half asleep Sakura dragged herself out of bed and walked slowly to open the door. Muttering curses under her breath. When she saw who was visiting she was extremely tempted to shut the door and return to bed.

Before she could her best friend Ino stormed inside. Sakura yawned and shut the door.

Ino was a loud blonde with sky blue eyes that looked like she could be a model. Apparently Ino had an emergency and they needed to go to the mall. Now.

Sakura could only roll her eyes and return to her room to get ready.

"Hurry up Forehead! We don't have all day!"

"It's my house I'll take my sweet time thanks!"

Ino huffed and crossed her arms. "No need to be rude."

Sakura laughed "says the person who barged into my house without notice."

"But Forehead it's an emergency!"

Shaking her head Sakura finished getting ready. She grabbed a quick breakfast, an apple and yogurt, and headed to the mall with her over energetic best friend. It turns out Ino's "emergency" was to buy a new outfit.

Sakura almost strangled the loud mouth blonde. She reframed herself because one they were in a public place and two there were too many witnesses. Sakura couldn't believe Ino. It was times like these where she couldn't they were friends much less best friends.

But that was Ino and she wouldn't change her for the world.

Once Ino bought her outfits, yes plural, the two friends made their way to the food court. After grabbing some pizza the girls sat down and began to chat about nothing and everything going on in their lives. Sakura enjoyed these moments greatly. Spending time with your crazy best friend always brightened her day.

Sasuke had a bad habit of keeping Sakura all to himself. Ino being her usual dramatic self-demanded Sasuke let Sakura off the tight rope he had around her. It was always funny seeing the two fight over who got to spend time with her. It was a 50-50 battle. Sasuke won some rounds while Ino won others.

If Sakura really wanted to she could just give Sasuke her puppy eyes and fake hurt feelings. Sasuke would become putty in her hands. She didn't use that technique often but if she really needed some girl time she pulled out the big guns. Sasuke didn't stand a chance.

"So I heard that creepy house down the street from the Uchiha's has been bought." Of course Ino heard everything. She was a gossip magnet whether it was about celebrities or what was happening at school. Usually Sakura didn't care about gossip but this was a topic she was more than willing to talk about.

"Yup! Mrs. Uchiha er I mean Mikoto hasn't seen anyone come in or out of the place." Sakura still had a hard time calling Sasuke's mother by her first name. No matter how much Mikoto insisted Sakura still felt a little weird calling the Uchiha monarch by her first name.

Ino shudders "I don't see how anyone would live in a place where someone died."

"Tell me about it. The person, or people, must be nut jobs. Or maybe they're into ghost stuff."

"Well crazy or not the head of the police force lives down the street."

Sakura and Ino spent the remainder of the afternoon shopping, chatting, and taking a ridiculous amount of selfies. Most of which would be used as blackmail at a later point in time. True friendship right there.

They were leaving the mall when Sakura heard a word she hasn't heard since she was a child.

"Mija."

Sakura stopped walking and turned to where she heard the word. She was ready to respond; she was doing this unconsciously, but quickly shut her mouth. She saw a mother calling out to her daughter. The little girl ran back to her mother who scolded her for running off. Still the mother smiled at the child and they continued walking. Ino kept walking oblivious that her friend had stopped walking.

Sakura could only stare at the mother and child. Childhood memories she's repressed for so long started flooding back.

"Mija!"

"Hey pretty princess!"

"Come on Sakura!"

"The Sandy Blossom. That's our new name!"

Refusing to think about her past Sakura shakes her head and quickly catches up with Ino. Sakura would not think about the past or how much a certain family hurt her badly.

No. She wasn't that weak little girl anymore.

Pushing those memories to the darkest corner of her mind Sakura smiled and agreed to whatever Ino just said.

After all Sakura made herself promise.

She wasn't going to be a weak person who depended on others. Not anymore.

Bodies by Drowning Pool. Since I can't put lyrics up and if you haven't heard the song go listen. A little slow but I'm liking the direction so far. Thanks for reading! Have a cookie filled day or night!
