It was Valentines Day in South Park, and unless you were in a relationship, it really didn't make much of a difference in the course of your day. Unless of course you were in elementary school. Hushed whispers filled the hall about who liked who, and there was a heart shaped sweet in everyone's lunch. The third grade class moved around the class, handing out valentines to each other. For the most part, everyone got a few store bought Valentines on their desk, pieces of stiff paper with cartoon characters and clever puns, a lollipop or two if they were lucky. Tweek, however, found something special in his Valentines Day pile.

A large construction paper heart covered in glitter glue and Lisa frank stickers sat on his desk, the sparkles and bright colours almost sickeningly sweet. If that wasn't enough to mean something, there was a chocolate cupcake placed on top of the card. The twitchy blond took a bite of the cupcake, and could taste a hint of bitter coffee under the sweet chocolate, whoever had given this had definitely made it just for him.

He finished the treat and picked up the card, flipping it over to find a message written in washable marker.

You're super swell. Come to Stark's Pond after school.

Tweek frowned, wondering what was going to happen. What if he went and there was a serial killer waiting to eat him?! Or a monster was going to come and pull him under that water?! He wasn't sure he could deal with that kind of suspense. Then again, what if there really was someone waiting for him, and then they ended up hating him and made everyone else hate him too?! Tweek let out a loud scream, having been so caught up in his worries that he didn't notice the lesson had started.

He took the hint from Mr. Garrison's glare and headed to Mr. Mackey's office, still clutching the valentine.

Tweek- after considering the fact that if a killer had come to hand out valentines, he probably would have seen him, had showed up at Starks Pond. Still not entirely sure of his own safety, the third grader was shaking a fair bit more than he normally did after a cup of coffee. he hummed a shaky tune to himself, glancing around whenever he heard a noise.

Tweek screamed and jumped when he felt a small hand on his shoulder, falling backwards onto the ground. he looked up and saw Butters standing over him, an apologetic look on his face.

"Sorry, I wasn't meanin' to knock you over like that." he said, holding a hand out to pull him up. Tweek shakily took the outstretched hand and stood, brushing himself off.

"Gah! Butters, what are you doing here?" he asked, his eyelid twitching.

"I came here to meet you." Butters reached over to stick a colourful sticker to Tweek's cheek. "Why I'm the one who made the card."

"But why, dude?" Tweek nervously scratched at the sticker on his cheek, and tried to come up with a reason why Butters would have wanted to meet him here, but ended up just scaring himself more.

Butters started to laugh, at first it was just a giggle, but soon he had burst out into full on laughter.

"Well, didn't you read the card?" He asked, smiling at him. "I really like you." Tweek's eyes widened.

"You mean like a crush? Gah!" He asked nervously, ready to turn and run at any moment. He would not have been able to handle the pressure of having a crush. Butters grabbed onto his hand.

"Yeah, I know, it's pretty gay." He blushed and kissed Tweek on the cheek, right where he had previously placed the sticker.

"Can I have a crush on you too?" He asked, getting a quick nod from Butters, "Okay, then I like you a lot too." The two of them stood like that holding each others hands for a few moments before Tweek piped up.

"GAH! I HAVE A VALENTINE!"
