I don't take people places. That's what Kristoff has been telling himself his whole life. And yet, here he was, taking a person, to a place. And what was he thinking? He didn't know the first thing about dating and he's dating a Princess of all people?! How was he supposed to take her somewhere great when she was used to a more luxurious life. He sighed to himself as he placed some more flowers around.
He was by myself; he'd made Sven stay with the rock trolls and Olaf was definitely not coming anywhere near here. He panicked as he set up, not knowing if she would like all of this.
It was not quite autumn just yet, but there was that autumn feel in the air; the weather was crisp, the leaves were starting to fall off the trees. Kristoff did a happy sigh; his favourite time of year.
He placed the last of the details to his date and lay down on the blanket lazily strumming away on his lute. He must have lost track of the time as he dozed off, awaking to someone, his date, arriving.
She gasped at the sight. "Kristoff!" She exclaimed. He had prepared a picnic for them complete with all of her favourite foods, a huge cosy blanket, flowers decorated around and of course, his lute for some musical entertainment.
"Hey." He said, shyly. They had only just started being together properly. After everything that had happened, they had taken things pretty slowly, though they saw each other a lot. But this was their first official date together.
Anna noticed that Kristoff was feeling a little shy, so she sat down next to him, looking around at all the food. She immediately grabbed a plate and started filling it up. Kristoff couldn't help but laugh at how delighted she was that he had brought more than one type of chocolate.
As the date went on, Kristoff eased up. She made it seem so easy. Kristoff didn't think he'd ever smiled so much in his life.
Once the food was eaten, he played some songs for her on his lute as she lay down, closing her eyes; not asleep, but taking in the music.
"This is so relaxing." She mentioned.
"You erm like it?" He suddenly felt nervous again for a second.
She sat up and looked at him. "Kristoff; this has been amazing. I've really had a great time."
They both smiled at each other and Kristoff felt that warm feeling that he never thought he would.
She decided to sit closer to him and he impulsively put his arm around her. She moved with him and put her head on his shoulder. They stayed like that for a while until it was starting to get dark.
Anna sighed. "I wish we could stay longer."
"Maybe we can camp under the stars someday."
"I would like that." She took his hand as they walked back with the picnic stuff in tow. "I've had such a lovely time."
"Me too."
"Thank you." She shyly gave him a quick kiss which made his heart melt.
"Thank you" he replied.
They carried on hand in hand all the way back to the castle. Kristoff thought to himself that maybe, just maybe, he'd start to take people, or at least one particular person, places more often.
