One Bloody Night

"And so the beast with eyes of flame swept up the prince and whisked him away…"

Pink curtains blowing, moonlight gleaming, dark night rising.

With soft exhales the innocent prince laid, eyelids peacefully closed, long lashes caressing soft cheeks. Chest steadily rising and falling, features slacking with each breath, the prince slowly nodded off; drifting… drifting… drifting into the land of whimsical dreams, blissfully unaware of the monster lurking in the corner of his bedroom.

Irises of scarlet glowed vividly, burning hungrily in the shadows; watching, observing, devouring the prince from afar. Weightlessly, the silhouette floated in the air, drifting closer to the unsuspecting prey until the edge of the mattress dipped lightly under the intruder's weight. Pale hand reaching towards the object of longing desires, it moved closer towards the bubblegum prince; closer to the delicious meal breathing obliviously below him—

The limb abruptly froze when the prince stirred beneath the monster's looming form.

At a chilling gust of wind the prince curled his fists, jerking the soft magenta blankets upward. Burrowing further into the warmth of the material, the prince rolled on his side; his head bending with a serenely sleepy, soft, drooping movement into the silky plush of his pillows.

The red irises flashed a more intense shade of scarlet, breath hitching, long canines quivering in anticipation because there, exposed for the demon's eyes to see, was the prince's delicate neck.

With shaky fingertips his hand caressed the prince's perfectly flushed cheek, tenderly trailing down to his steadily throbbing pulse. The prince moaned, soft and low, the gentle rumbling creating a vibration beneath the shaking fingertips. The monster watched him carefully, shivering in desire.

Leaning downward, a forked tongue licked the side of the prince's neck, the monster's pale hand trailing down the boy's chest with feather light touches.

Thump thump thump went the prince's heart, gentle and slow; relaxed, unsuspecting. Glinting white fangs lightly grazed the prince's throat, mouth watering,the sweet scent of bubblegum intoxicating his nostrils-

Th-th-thump!

Heartbeat speeding, breath hitching, the vampire flinched away from the stirring prince. Once softly shut eyelids flew open, magenta irises clashing with crimson.

They stared…

Then the prince screamed. The monster screamed.

And the moment was ruined.

"The Prince" is Prince Gumball and "The Monster" is Marshall Lee, for those who somehow didn't catch that. If you see a mistake feel free to inform me.
