"Miss Cordelia, do you ever look up at the stars and wish you were a part of them?" Misty's wild hair blows in the cool evening breeze and her stunning grey blue eyes gaze up with longing.
Cordelia's skin tingles where it's lightly pressed to Misty's and her heart beats faster with each passing moment. "All the time." Breathes the Supreme softly. "All the time."
Misty turns her gaze to Cordelia's, a look of admiration and wonder giving a glow to her pale skin. "When I was a little girl, I'd sneak out to the swamp and lay, like we are now, under the stars. I'd smile up at them and pretend that I was a star too, shining through the blackness. I always wanted to be important and beautiful like the night sky; I wanted everyone to love me the way they love the stars."
Tears fall silently down Cordelia's cheeks and Misty wipes them away with her thumb. "But when I met you Delia, I realized that I don't need everyone to love me, only you."
"I do love you Misty. I love you with all my heart." Delicately, Cordelia brushes her fingers across the swamp witch's jaw and cups her cheek. She cherishes the look of pure love in Misty's eyes and the feel of her warm skin.
But as Cordelia moves her hand down to cover her lover's heart, there is no beating. There's no rise and fall of Misty's chest, no breath leaving her red lips. "I swear Misty; I'll never stop trying to bring you back."
"If anyone can find a way, it's you Miss Cordelia." Streaks of orange and pink begin to illuminate the night sky. "I'm always with you my love."
Tangling her hands in Misty's long hair, Cordelia kisses the other witch deeply, with enough passion to leave both of them dizzy and weak in the knees. With each passing second Misty dissolves a little more, until she slips through the Supreme's grasp completely. "Misty!"
Taken by the wind, Misty is ash once again. Her voice echoes through Cordelia's mind as the first rays of sun rise above the horizon. I love you Miss Cordelia. I'm always with you…
Fin.
