Why is Spike so cold to me all of a sudden? Faye wondered.
It had been a week since he said one word to her.
Spike was trying to distance himself from everyone. He knew what he had to do, and that was to defeat Vicious. He also knew that he would die from the battle, and he didn't want Faye to feel more pain than she already did.
He finally trudged out of his room and was immediately face to face with Faye. She looked so lost, so hurt. Her eyes questioned his motives. She wanted a clear answer, something to ease her mind.
Spike ignored her.
We're never speaking to each other ever again.
