The two looked at each other across the battlefield, sweat running down both faces from the difficulty of the battle. The results of the match surrounded them, red and black in much evidence, bleeding onto the ground and staining it with the colors of the horrific sight. They held their weapons before their faces, ready for the final confrontation.

"You'll never beat me, Allen."

Duke Millennium smiled across at his eternal opponent, top hat surrounded with a comical representation of exactly the thing that surrounded him on every side, all of them reminders that Allen Walker had failed to stop the Earl from defeating him so very utterly. "This isn't over, Earl! I can still defeat you!"

"Okay, fine. Royal Flush."

Allen set his hand down. "Royal Flush."

they both looked down at each others hand, then at their own, then at their opponent. "No, it's not. Those cards are blank."

"So are yours, idiot. And it was your idea to play cards in the rain with cardboard stock."

Road bonked them both on the head. "You idiots! You both said it'd be more dramatic if it was played outside."

Allen and the Earl shrugged. "I have some plastic cards."

"I shuffle, you deal?"

"Fine by me."

And so the two eternal opponents squared off once again, ready to start into the eternal battle once more.
