The day had started out like usual. Jake Ryan woke up in his dark cherry sleigh bed, laying comfortably underneath the black silk sheets and the black comforter.
On the chest beside his closet were his day's clothes. Ironed & neatly folded just the way he liked it.
The wonderful aroma of pancakes, bacon, and eggs filed his nostrils.
He changed, shaved off the beginnings of a mustache, brushed his perfectly straight teeth, and finally-wandered downstairs to the kitchen.
He grinned at the sight of his beautiful wife making his breakfast, leaning on the frame of the door.
He sat down at the table, waiting for to finish, "Good Morning."
She smiled faintly before placing a plate in front of him and a glass of OJ beside it, "I need to go grocery shopping."

It wasn't hard for her to get away. She just walked straight past the bread aisle, took a right, and through the automatic doors-He thought she was getting pepper.
The second she was walking down the street that she let go of the breath she didn't even realize she had been holding.
She wondered if the passing people would look at her and see her for what she was-A coward, to stupid to leave him early, and to stupid to find another way of escape, or just some random nameless face.
She clutched the wad of money she had taken with her right hand, it was the only possession she now owned-Other than the clothes on her back.
As she continued walking down the block, she began to wonder if she'd look good as a brunette.
