Author's note: This is my first X-men evo fic so please be kind and review. A short song fic about Kitty suicide featuring Evanescence's song Tourniquet.
I tried to kill the pain
But only brought more
I lay dying
And I'm pouring crimson regret and betrayal
I'm dying, praying, bleeding, and screaming
Am I too lost to be saved
Am I too lost?
Kitty lay on the floor of Kurt's room. A knife on one hand and a necklace on another. She had thought about everything she had faced. Mutant haters, deaths and pain. Now she was feeling not just the emotional pain, but also the physical pain. Her blood was forming a little pool around her wrists. Her mind wasn't working properly, but she was still fighting against the obvious death.
Do you remember me
Lost for so long
Will you be on the other side
Or will you forget me
I'm dying, praying, bleeding and screaming
Am I too lost to be saved
Am I too lost?
She held the silver necklace tighter. Lance's and Kitty's names were engraved on it. Obviously Lance wouldn't remember her after this insanity, after all he had Tabitha, who was a better lover for him. And yet there was love. Love for someone she wasn't quite sure if she loved him. And there she was, dying in his room. "Why his room after all?" she mumbled under her breath. Her voice was throaty and the words weren't being spoken properly. And then tears. Silent tears running down her pale cheek. She didn't want to commit suicide anymore. She was praying silently for someone to save her before her doom would get complete.
My wounds cry for the grave
My soul cries for deliverance
Will I be denied Christ
Tourniquet
My suicide
Nobody was there. No voices, no thoughts, no emotions. Her mind became numb. Her sight blurred. And then before the complete darkness could fall around her, the voice she desperately wanted to hear spoke with a shocked tone: "Keety!!!" The pang on her heart was the last straw for her. She had no time to answer him. Kitty was gone and forever doomed.
