Nancy Drew is sitting in her house in San Francisco with her terrier puppy named Togo in her lap asleep, when all of a sudden there was a loud pounding on the front door. Togo jumped up and started to run toward the front door and got ready to growl, and when Nancy opened it, her friends Bess Marvin and George Fayne come running in the door telling her that her dad was requesting her at his office and she was to hurry over there because it was very urgent. Nancy asked her friends to come along and find out what he wants. Her friends called their parents and got confirmations that it was okay. Nancy said: what do you think it is that my dad wants from me? I bet it has to do with some sort of mystery what do you think george? Bess said. I bet you are right bess. The three girls hopped into Nancy's car and drove over there just in time to see a broad shouldered man run out of her dad's office and away from her and her friends.
