Well, this is a little (very) short story, sort of like a prologue to chapter 7 of the Rahkshi Toa, which is important to the main story.

Kura's eyes burst open, freeing him from disturbed dreams. After a few moments, he rose from his bed and walked to the window, where rain lashed against the glass. It was stained and cracked, but then it was over a thousand years old. All that could be heard was the endless pounding of the rain, on the windows, on the walls, on the roof, on the ground outside, a marsh. As water struck water, it surged upwards, so that the street outside seemed to be alive. Kura's thoughts were cast back to the dream that had awakened him. A dark dream of a nightmare creature he'd seen hundreds of years ago, a Rahkshi that looked like a Toa. Its eyes burned fiery red, and in the dream... unlike what had happened before, it had seen him, and he couldn't escape its feet, pounding, relentlessly pounding... Kura realised there was in fact someone pounding on his door. He rushed to the door, passing a small picture on the table of him and another Matoran laughing, wondering who could be calling at this hour.

He lifted the bolt and wrenched open the door, and in the doorway was... "Toa Daufu!" Kura gasped, as the Toa Rahi of Fire stepped into the hut. Strangely, he didn't seem to be wet at all.

"Hello Kura." The Toa said calmly, smiling weakly. "It's been a while."

"It certainly has! Is everyone alright?"

"Everyone's alive, don't worry." Daufu replied, his smile becoming grim momentarily.

"Are they here?"

"No, they're coming though. They'll be here soon." Daufu replied, sighing.

"Are you okay?" Kura asked, concerned for the Toa, who laughed.

"I have no problems now, Kura, though thank you for asking." Daufu said, taking pains to keep his voice steady. He looked at the Matoran for a few moments, and Kura felt like he was examining his very soul. He wanted to say something, but..."I've got to go now," Daufu told Kura, and turned towards the still open door, and the rain. As he stood in the doorway, he suddenly turned back. "oh, and Kura..."

"Yes?" Kura asked fearfully, although he couldn't fathom why.

"This time, he'll see you." And with these words, he stepped out into the rain, shutting the door behind him. As soon as he did, Kura grabbed the door and wrenched it open, running out into the street and shouting "Who?!" but the street was deserted, and only the rain answered his cry, pounding on the muddy street. Except for an odd flickering light, cast by a small flame, somehow not extinguished by the rain. The crackling flames seemed to whisper his name once, just once, then the flames were extinguished. Kura watched the spot a few moments more, and he knew why he felt a chill. Looking over his shoulder fearfully, watching the spot where the flames had disappeared, he walked back into his house and shut the door. Somehow he managed to go back to sleep, and returned to his dreams, of the creature that had caused him so much fear. But this time, he did not run. His sleep was not disturbed again, for the shadow outside in the rain made no sound as it faded away. And surely, as it did so, it must be purely the imagination of this writer that a ghostly whisper could be heard?"Kratashi..."
