(A/NUm I wrote this on the spot. Anyways Chara is male, because using they/them didn't seem to fit. Don't hate me. :P)

Chara didn't smile often. Not truly. He always tried to, but it didn't quite reach his eyes. But sitting there, on his father's shoulders next to his brother, looking over the entire underground, he was the happiest he felt in a long time.

Chara looked around. It was all so beautiful and he tried to engrave every detail into his mind. His eyes first fell on the crowd gathered before them, celebrating them, celebrating him. There were a lot of monsters gathered and their cheering was deafening, but Chara's eyes didn't stay there.

They swept up, back to where he was, to his mom and dad. They were looking up at him, eyes radiating pride. "Look, Chara," his mother said to him, beaming, "you bring hope to the Underground."

His father nodded. "Chara, you are the future of humans and monsters." His mom and dad were so happy, and Chara loved them, but his eyes still didn't stop there.

They roamed a little farther up, to his mom's shoulder where his brother sat. Asriel was laughing joyfully, and Chara was sure with a light like that the Underground wouldn't need the surface. Everyone was happy. Everything was perfect. And for once, Chara smiled.

(haha I wish I was a good writer so have a oneshot. That's it, sweet pear, out!)
