She was running. That's the only thing she was aware of. In the back of her mind, she knew where she was going. Yes, she'd been to the cliff to many times to not know where it was. Anslee knew her intentions, but would do no further thinking for fear of backing out. She would escape this hell called life, one way or another. She tossed a look over her shoulder, seeing the smoke and flames rise high in the sky, giving the sunrise a creepy, blood red glow. Tears stung Anslee's eyes, and branches were tearing at her, ripping her ash covered shirt and jeans. She didn't care. She couldn't feel it- she was numb. She finally reached the cliff, collapsing on her knees. Taking a few deep breaths, and looking behind her once more, she covered her face with her hands and sobbed.

"I don't understand. . . "

she whispered to herself. In desperate need of answers, she clasped her hands together tight and prayed. Although she wasn't exactly sure of an "Almighty God", she needed someone, and figured to give him a chance.

Minutes passed after her prayers, and she felt her demons approaching. She scooted closer to the edge of the cliff, and a few tears fell from her eyes. She looked up from drop which she soon planned to make, until she saw...a... Was that an angel? Yes, it was! Her eyes widened at the handsome, brunette Angel floating in front of her. His gold wings fluttering, and shining halo rested atop his head.

"Excuse me.. But are you Miss. Anslee?" he asked with his heavenly voice.

"y- yes, I am... Why?"

"I was sent to help you.." he outstretched his hand to her.

" I saw you were upset... What's wrong?"

Her eyes widened in fear with remembrance of the events that had partaken in the last few hours.

"t-the demons... They were chasing me... They killed my family... They've always made my life hell... They made me do this..."

She pulled up the sleeves on her shirt to show deep gashes, scars, and swift swipes across her arm, obviously made with a razor blade.

The angels eye widened... Then took Anslee's hand and closed his eyes. She gasped in amazement as they all healed, perfectly. Her arms that were once covered in cuts, we're now flawless. she looked at him and smiled.

He returned the smile and squeezed her hand gently.

"come with me. You'll be happy forever."

She nodded and followed him... As he lead her off the cliff. She dropped, the angel had disappeared. He was never there. Anslee started to cry, half through the fall. . . But then smiled softly.

"Seems all prayers come true eventually. . ."

~~The next day~~

"Mrs. Hart, where did you last see Anslee?" The officer had been called out to the Hart residence. It was his first week on the job, and already a missing child case. "Last night, she started screaming.. She ran out of the house... You have to find her, she has Schizophrenia! She imagines things, what if she's hurt?" the officer saw the fear in the mothers eyes... "I'm sure she's fine, Ma'am. We will try out best to find her"

Epilogue. . . . .

After Anslee had hit the water, she had passed out. Sinking under the current, she drowned. She still had a smile on her face, though, always thinking of her angel...

Her body was never found, but her mother had guessed what happened.
