Who knows where I got an idea for this, but here it is! I've been listening to the song too much.
I don't own Fullmetal Alchemist! But I thought up this very cool title! Ain't it pretty?
Metal Flowers
"I told you," Ed said, "I didn't know!"
"What do you mean you didn't know?" Winry cried.
"I didn't know!" He slapped her and Winry fell down. Ed stared at his hand. His used his auto mail arm. "Winry…"
"Get out," she whispered rubbing her cheek.
"Huh?"
"GET OUT!" She yelled.
Ed hesitated, but then ran out the door. "I'm sorry…"
Winry cried as she watched Ed run farer and farer from the house. She never yelled at Ed like that before, but she was never was this anger before either.
"Don't you think you were a little hard, Winry?" Al asked. "He really didn't know."
"He knew, Al," she whispered, "Ed knew why I would never let this go."
Winry held something close to her chest. It was a small cross. A now broken cross.
"He knew my parents gave this to me before they died," tears ran down her face, "he knew this meant the world to me. But he broke it! He broke it, Al! The only thing I had to remember them by and he broke it!"
"Winry…" Al said kindly.
Rain started to hit the windows. Lightening hit and the thunder roared. It was coming down hard.
"Should we look for Ed?" Al asked.
"No," Winry brushed the tears for her eyes, "he'll come back when he wants to."
"Okay…" Al looked out the window as the rain hit it and it was hard to look in the distance.
Winry woke up the next morning feeling a lot better. She decided to look for Ed and apologize for her yelling. "Maybe he really didn't know."
That's when she noticed something on her bed side.
Her cross was fixed and a piece of crumpled paper lay by it. It read:
I'm sorry, Winry
Please forgive me I didn't know how important it was to you
I fixed it
- Ed
Next to the note was flower. A small yellow flower.
"You're an idiot, Ed," Winry said trying not to cry, "you're so stupid."
