Ana's Secret
Prologue
My life changed four years ago. It changed when a very important part of me was suddenly taken away. My father. I was his "English Rose" and he was my hero. He'd take me for long walks, sometimes into the lush wooden area that sits right beyond our backyard. And on our walks, we'd tell each other secrets. Secrets we didn't want anybody else to know about. He would tell me things that were profound, too. "You know what, Ana?" he'd say in a sweet gentle voice, "If you take the right path it will lead you to wherever you want to go. It's like that in life, too. Promise me that you'll take the right path?"
"Don't worry, Daddy, I will."
Other times we'd put jigsaw puzzles together on a card table set up in the living room. He always held the last puzzle piece high in the air before placing it where it belonged. "Look at this. When all the pieces come into place it creates a beautiful picture, see?" I'd be at awe when he put that last puzzle piece in because he was right. It always did. "Life is like that too, Ana."
"Why is that?" I asked.
His soft brown eyes would gaze at me from across the table. "You'll find out some day." A smile from my father was all it took to make me feel warm and secure.
But, that all changed when he died. My life's path turned a sad corner. I had no one to tell my secrets to any longer. My puzzle was incomplete. My hero was gone. Since then I've grown insecure. I think of myself as small and insignificant. My family tries hard to make up for the loss but it's just not the same without my father around to guide me.
Little did I know that my life was about to change yet again. I'd have another secret. But this time I wouldn't be able to tell anybody what it was. I'd be too embarrassed. This change would take me into a whole, different direction in my life. And it was about to happen in just a few weeks.
When I go to interview Christian Grey.
A/N: This is the prologue from the original book I'm writing. I just adapted the names to fit this site. If you like it let me know.
