So I was nervous about an upcoming job interview and asked my friends on deviantART to give the names of two random gym leaders for me to write short pieces about. One of my friends suggested these two, so I decided to give it a whirl. This is the result. Hope you like!
Also, this is set before the start of Gold, Silver, and Crystal.

"For the love of Arceus, she could come back at any minute!" the young man chastised. "Come on, Scyther, stop chewing Erika's plants!"
The green Bug Pokemon paid his master no heed as he continued feeding on the beautiful, pain-stakingly raised flower bushed that lined the Celadon City Gym. "Come on, you walking salad slicer!" he pleaded, ignoring the fact that the stress was severely frizzing his purple hair. "Miss Erika was nice enough to invite us here all the way from the Johto region, I don't want her upset!"
The Scyther glared at the boy, as though mentally slicing him to bits for interrupting his meal.
"Please, just listen to me! Miss Erika's going to advocate for me to the Elite Four - if I make a good impression! This is my chance to become a gym leader and learn more about bug Pokemon!" He grabbed onto the Scyther's wings and yanked hard. "I can't have you just eating up her plants! She needs those for her job!"
Just then, the door to the gym opened. The young man froze - coming through the door was a beautiful black-haired woman in an orange kimono. Behind her were - he gulped in fear - the Elite Four. "M-m-miss Erika..." he stuttered.
Upon hearing her name, the woman froze - her gym was a MESS, and that dreadful Scyther had destroyed her hydrangea and hibiscus bushes! "Bugsy! How dare you allow this to happen?" Her face darkened with a glare. "I leave you alone for TEN MINUTES, and you let your Scyther go on a rampage?"
"No! It's not like that! Oh my Arceus I'm so sorry, Miss Erika, I promise I'll try to make this up for you I'm sorry I'm sorry I'M SORRY!"
