"So, where'd you disappear to at Bubba's 'Gumball Ball' anyway?" Marshall asked. Fionna pursed her lips as Marshall casually draped his legs over hers. He leaned into the corner of the couch so that he was lying across the length of it.

"It was so creepy!" Fionna started her recount of the night's events. "So first, Gumball takes me to his bedroom, and there's, like, candles and rose petals leading to the bed!" she started. "Then, he locks the door, and starts taking his shirt off!" she exclaimed.

What little color was in the Vampire's face drained at the thought. Fionna was so busy trying to get past the boring stuff into the action-y part that she didn't notice.

"But then, it totally turned out to be Ice Queen in disguise!" she continued. "So she tried to freeze me, you know, so I did what I always do-kicked her butt!" Fionna declared.

"And then…" she trailed off as she turned around to face nothing. "Marshall?" she called after her friend.

Gumball hummed contently to himself as he pulled his cookies out of the oven. The aroma of melty chocolate filled the room as he placed them onto a cooling rack. He sighed as he picked one up, ready to take a bite.

A loud crack of thunder stopped his hand, half-way to his mouth. He turned around to see Marshall Lee emerging from what seemed to be a large storm-cloud.

"Marshall?" Gumball asked, confused as to why the Vampire was in his kitchen. Without saying a word, Marshall glided over to the Prince, anger visibly pouring off of him. He drew his fist back and brought roughly across Gumball's face.

"If you…ever…touch Fionna…again…I…will…personally…see to it…that you… mysteriously…disappear," he seethed. Gumball watched as Marshall turned to leave. He stared confusedly as he rubbed the small pink bruise forming on his cheek.

Almost as an afterthought, Marshall turned around and took the tray of cookies. "Thanks for the cookies," he smirked before disappearing with a flash of lightning and crack of thunder.

"What…just happened?"
