Sonny smiled at her boyfriend of three years, Chad Dylan Cooper, as he looked into her eyes.
"Sonny, I want to do something…" He started, nervously, taking her hands in his and looking at the floor.
"What?" She asked, curious, and giving him an encouraging smile.
"Well, it's something I've been wanting to do for a long time…" Chad said, still nervous.
"Go on!" Sonny urged.
"Okay." He got down on one knee in front of her.
She was sure she knew what he was doing, and was bubbling with excitement, waiting for him to say those magical words that would change her life forever…
And he stood up a few seconds later. "I just really had to tie my shoelaces," He said, "Wouldn't want the greatest actor of our generation tripping and damaging this!" He pointed to his face, grinning.
Sonny's beaming smile disappeared. Chad was such a… Chad-iot, sometimes.
