Before the Mushroom War, there was a jeweler named Simone Petrikov. Besides being a jeweler, she loves to create crowns for the Kings and Queens of Ooo. She was a fiancé of a man named Benny, and had a pet kitten named Cake. On one lovely afternoon in a village in Ooo, Cake found a beautiful, glowing, but mysterious red jewel, so she thought that she should give it to Simone. When Cake finally came to a Victorian house where Cake and her owner lived, she went through the slot on the front door, and then went to Simone's workshop. When Cake came into the workshop, she saw Simone finishing up a crown with blue gems. After she was done with the crown she saw Cake by the door with the mysterious red jewel. Simone gets out of her chair and starts to walk up to Cake." Where have you been Cake?" asked Simone. The only response that Cake gave to Simone was just handing her the mysterious red jewel that she found. Simone took the mysterious gem that Cake gave to her, then she got sort of hypnotized by the beauty, and the bright red of the jewel. All of a sudden the jewel gave her an idea to make a lovely crown with a hint of a tiara design for a Winter Ball that Simone and Benny were invited to, so she went to work. It took her about a day to make it. On that day, Cake started to get worried about Simone. After the crown was finished, Simone started to go shopping for an outfit to wear to the Winter Ball. She got a puffy-looking dark blue
dress fit for a queen with light and dark blue heels. The blue dress looked great with her long, dark brown hair. After Simone was dressed for the ball, she waited outside her house for her fiancé in a rented carriage. Benson eventually came to pick her up, and then headed to the ball. They finally came to the Winter Ball, and this is when Simone puts on the crown. Benny and Simone entered the castle and they started to dance as the night stayed young. While they danced, Simone starts to see illusions and voices which made fell on her knee, and her hands grabbing her head. Benny came to her side and asked, "Simone, are you alright?" When this happened, a crowd started to form around Benny and Simone. As the illusions got worse, and worse, she no longer had control of her body and mind. Without any emotion, she got up and started to face Benson. "The world is going to be fire, but only snow can defeat it." said possessed Simone in a monotone voice. "Simone, what are you talking about?" asked Benny. "I see the world set on fire, but only snow can stop it, and I'm the snow." replied the possessed Simone. Benny starts to get worried. "Simone, this is crazy talk. What is happening to you?" asked Benny. "There's nothing wrong with me. I'm just saying that everyone is going to die from the flaming earth, and I know how to save the Earth." replied the possessed Simone. Benny starts to back away slowly, and all of a sudden, a little child bumped into Simone, which knocked off the crown. Simone was back to her normal self, and everyone was backing away from her. She was curious about why they were staying away from her. She tried to talk to everyone, but they stayed away. She even tried to talk to Benny, but all he said was: "Stay away crazy woman, we are done." After Benny said those words, Simone started to get out of the palace, and headed back to her home. When she got home, she sobbed her broken heart out, and all she can think of is Benny. Everyday, Simone would wear her crown 24/7. As days went by, her dark brown hair got lighter and lighter, until it was white as snow, and her skin color became tinted with blue, until it was blue as the sky. The world was covered with snow ever since the incident at the Winter Ball. As centuries went by, she became lonely and cold, and was known as the Ice Queen.
