She Was Alone

So guys, I just need some help and I didn't know where else to turn for this kind of stuff. Kaitlynn Snow, my own character, is in a predicament. I plan on using this plot for a story, but I don't know, does it sound good or like a teenager wrote it(in a bad way, like, not a good plot I mean. Sorry, I just plan on publishing soon is all). Kaitlynn Snow. The girl who was always ignored, never noticed, the loner. She finds a letter one day. It was on her pillow when she came home. She heard her parents fighting again. She read the letter as she tried not to think about them fighting. An escape? She smiled and packed a bag, then opened her window. She normally snuck out anyways, so there was a ladder by her window. She took her things and the letter with her. She didn't want to stay any longer...

After she finds the place, she knocks on the door. They let her in and sets her bag near the door. She follows them to see as group. They all laugh and smile, talking, partying... It's like a dream come true... But what happens when she tells her best friend about the place? Will she be kicked or worse? And her parents are still searching, but close to no one knows one crucial note... She's dead... She's been dead with those kids for a long time now and only one person knows though, her best friend...
