TITLE: A Hate to Love
AUTHOR: Danny Ellas
A/N: This is a poem based on the story "Unseen Dreams" by Hallie (Hallie_loves_Aragorn@hotmail.com) POV Aragorn.
Could I have turned and walked away
When you laid me down to kiss.
Afraid you'd only do this once
Scared there was nothing to miss.
What is it we're writing?
Some book called "Betrayal"?
And I'm I playing two sides
With some half-hearted portrayal?
Is it still you, friend?
Still on my aching mind?
I'd open up my heart to you
But I don't know what you'd find.
I wish you'd rape me
Take me.
Take the blame off me
But you know I'll never ask you
Keep pretending
It's meant to be.
Don't get me wrong,
I love you
But I hate my every thought
That tells me to face up to life
And not to sell the hate I bought.
These people need a leader
And not a broken boy
So hurt me, fuck me, just don't love me,
Treat me like a worthless toy.
Don't get me wrong
I love you
And I watch your every turn
So show me how to take you
Just tell me and I'll learn.
I used to feel like I had I chance
I thought I had a choice
Once I had my own free will
And I used to have a voice
All I have is one weather-beaten body
I wish there was more here to give.
But you end up with nothing.
What use is a body
That hasn't a reason to live?
Don't get me wrong
I love you
And not just for one night
Just be done and take me.
Love you?
Yeah, I might
