Forgiveness

Notes: This is dedicated to An. She wanted a humorous Wufei fic, and this is the best I could offer her.

Wufei came home from a late night of studying to find his young, and rather angry looking, wife tapping her foot at the entrance of their estate. She didn't say anything as he set his book bag down and untied his shoes. The silence wasn't broken as he hung up his coat. He eyed her warily.

"If you have something to say, say it. Otherwise I'm going upstairs to bed."

Her eyes seemed to set ablaze and her hands clenched together tightly. Through a tightly clenched jaw, Meiran said, "Did you forget anything today?"

Dark eyes narrowed. "Of course I didn't. Today was no different than any other day's routine."

He swore he saw a vein pulsing in her forehead. Was it really that hard to just say what was bothering her? He was certain there would be a lot less frustration building. As her jaw worked, she took a step closer to him.

"Idiot! Today is our anniversary!" Her hand collided with his cheek.

"Our anniversary isn't until next month."

Her mind seemed to mull this over and check dates against fact. As she realized that it was indeed next month, she frowned. He smiled sagely. Her eyes shot daggers at him.

"Wufei, you can sleep on the couch tonight." With an indignant "hmph", the dark haired girl strode to the bedroom and slammed the door.

For some, there was no forgiveness.
