Chapter1 –EYES
2006
She stared at the mirror and tried to put everything back into place. Her whole world was slowly falling apart making it harder for her. She clutched on to the jacket he gave her and remembered everything.
"Ashley… You know I love you…but now I have to focus on my career…I and always will love you" he said kissing her on the forehead and wrapped the jacket around her. He took a step back then slowly turned around and walked away. She held on to the jacket because the thin lining of her shirt couldn't keep her warm from the winter breeze.
She wiped the ruined eye liner and got ready for a long ride to Denver. She threw her baggage in the trunk and drove. She hated driving on winter nights…it was cold and all she wanted to do that time is REST. She always played music to keep her company but now the only thing that would make her happy in having Punk back with her. Tears streamed down her face as she remembered how she slept through the long rides and let Punk drive. She clutched the wheel and drove faster; this time…she was going to change.
She threw the luggage in the locker room and went circles around the arena. As she was in the training room she tried to fight tears as she remembered how people said that all she did was botch. She took off her jacket and tried to train but all her focus was on Punk."Need help?" a voice said, she didn't want to turn around because she didn't want people to see this side of her."Let me show you" he said grabbing her arms and teaching her to do a submission lock. She looked at his tatted arms and smiled as she knew that this man never showed his soft side to anyone. Her stomach had butterflies as she thought of his name

"So...that will probably help you and hopefully you won't botch in EVERY match" he said steppingback. And therewas his arrogant side again. She slapped his arm and grabbed her jacket."Punk is an ass" he said as she heard her soft whimpers. She stopped and felt numb."You deserve someone better….I know I'm not the sweetest guy but this is the first I actually have been soft to anyone" he said as she ignored him and kept walking.
