It seemed as though college was a lifetime ago, and finally some of your best friends were getting married! It was finally the day that Hank and Janet would tie the knot, and while you were happy for them, you couldn't help but feel a little jealous.
The ceremony passed joyously, and soon everyone was leaving the church to send the happy couple off. It was a very traditional sort of wedding, and as the church bells rang and the organ chimed you all threw rice over the newlyweds, and before you knew it your boyfriend Bruce was off talking to Hank, and you were admiring Janet's ring.
"Okay guys, this is it! You ready?" Janet announced, and you and all the other girls crowded around excitedly. Janet turned away from the crowd, and as she hurled her bouquet into the air, you reached up, and while many other girls jumped in your direction, you still managed to catch the bouquet.
"I got it! I got it!" You yelled excitedly.
Next thing you knew Hank and Janet were leaving, and the rest of the wedding party were rushing to wish them a happy honeymoon. You stood on the steps of the church, and soon Bruce was once again at your side.
"Oh Bruce, wasn't it wonderful? Didn't Janet look beautiful? I can't believe it, only an hour ago she was plain old Janet Van Dyne and now, now she's Mrs. Henry Pym!"
"Yes _, Hank's a lucky guy."
"Yes!"
Bruce walked down the stairs with you in tow, as you passed some of the returning wedding guests. Something about Bruce seemed…off.
"Everyone knows that Janet's quite a catch."
"Yes."
Bruce led you further away from the church, seemingly absentmindedly.
"Why, Hank himself will be in line for a promotion in a year or two."
"Yes…"
Bruce turned to you. "Hey, _?" he looked at you inquisitively.
"Yes, Bruce?"
"I've got something I…wanted to say."
"Uh-huh?" You said, trying to hide the nervousness in your voice as you clutched the bouquet you were holding tighter.
"I really love the…" you were half-aware of thunder crackling in the distance, "…way you, uh, you beat the other girls to the bride's bouquet."
"Oh, Bruce…" You giggled.
Thunder crackled louder and louder, but you weren't aware of it anymore.
"_, listen, I mean, we've been together since college, and…you know I fell for you from the second we met in Dr. Fury's science class in High School, and we've got a whole future ahead of us so the way I see it…we should plan it!" Bruce was overtaken with excitement, you hadn't seen him this happy for a very long time, he'd been so nervous lately but none of that mattered now, "P-please just hear me out, I-I have one thing to say…Dammit! _! I love you!" You leaned toward him for a kiss, but he took a step back. "I guess I should stop rambling…I'm sorry. I-uhm-" He got down on one knee and pulled out a ring, "Will you marry me?"
