I never thought I'd write a Digimon fic about anyone but Ken, but you have to admit this was a VERY touching scene...

A scream, and she was gone. One final plea, and my beloved was no more. This man...monster...demon...that we had followed, that created us, looked on in shame, as the devil who had posessed him absorbed what was left of the fallen Digimon.
I was stunned for a moment, too stunned to do anything further. Then I heard a voice call out her name, and I realized it was mine. "ARUKENIMON!" I screamed, over and over again.
The beast--MaloMyotismon, Lord of Darkness--turned to face me. His eyes glinted with bemusement, and his fanged mouth set in a sadistic smile. "Do you think you can beat me?" he taunted. "You do not fight me because you know you will lose."
I stiffened, and gripped my machine gun as tight as I could. "Arukenimon..." I whispered. He was right, I knew I would fail, but I didn't care. My mind was made up, then and there. I had to at least TRY to avenge my beloved.
"You...took my Arukenimon from me!" I hissed, my voice filling with the numbing rage that had already overtaken my mind. "And I will bring you down! SNAKE BANDAGE!!!" I screamed, sending forth the wraps that Arukenimon so often teased me for. I was going to die, I knew it.
The wraps ensnared him, but he broke the bonds as if they were nothing. A smile of pure evil crossed his hideous face
"CRIMSON MIST!!!" he screamed. A red fog eminated from his gruesome body and surrounded me before I could make another move. But even if I could have avoided his attack, I doubt I would have.
The pain was intense; my wildest imagination could not have prepared me for it, but it was a mere scratch compared to the pain of losing my one dear love. As the acidic cloud began to dissolve me, I closed my eyes and thought of Arukenimon.
Now I am a spirit. I do not know if I will enter the Primary Village, as she and I were created from human DNA. Even if I am to be reborn, she was absorbed, so I doubt she will return. If that is the case, I shall ask Elecmon to destroy me, for I cannot live without my beloved Arukenimon. But if we are both reborn, I will spend every moment with her, and make sure I prove my affections to her as soon as I can...
I can feel myself beginning to fade away, my conciousness being lost in the swirl of fate as my data is broken down. My only thought is of Arukenimon...my beloved...
