Chapter 18 of Breaking Dawn- Renesmee's point of view
I wanted out. I was choking. I couldn't breath! I began to try to kick and punch my way out. I could hear people yelling and running. I could hear someone slicing open what had to be my mother's skin. I could hear someone nbeing thrown across the floor and hitting the wall or was it the floor? I wasn't sure. I was too terrified to pay attention. I might have just breathed my last breath and the thought of that scared me. I tried to claw my way out. I began to bite my way out too.
I was out now and in Edward's arms. He was shockingly cold. IT startled me at first.
"Renesmee," He whispered.
"Let me . . . .," my mom croaked in a broken whisper. "Give her to me."
My mother held me so gently in her limp arms. She was covered in blood. It made me feel thirsty.
I heard my mother barely whisper, "Renes . . . mee. So . . . beautiful."
Then she gasped-gasped in pain. My father held me in his arms again. I couldn't take the thirst any longer. I bit my mother over her left breast. I felt bad after I did it. Her blood tasted amazing.
Then my father murmured," No, Renesmee."
Renesmee must be my name. I like it. I looked up to see my mom's eyes roll back. Her heart went silent and there were only two heartbeats in the room. Mine and the strange boy standing at the edge of the bed-or was it a table? I wasn't quite sure. His heartbeat was slower than mine. The boy's hair was short and black. He had tan skin and he smelled funny. I could tell he was terrified too. He began to press his hands against her chess and press down. I wasn't sure of what it was he was doing. Then he put his mouth to hers and I could see her chest rise and go back down. He continued pushing her chest and made it rise again.
"What are you waiting for?" He asked.
I wasn't sure whom he was talking to. He continued trying to help my mom. I think that's what he's doing.
"Take the baby," Edward said urgently.
"Throw it out the window," the strange boy said angrily.
"Give her to me," A blonde girl said from the doorway. Edward and the strange boy both snarled at the same time.
"I've got it under control,' she promised. "Give me the baby, Edward. I'll take care of her until Bella . . ."
Edward handed me to the blonde and she walked out of the room. I could hear Edward say from behind me, "Move your hands, Jacob."
Jacob. That must be the boy's name. I guess he looked older than a boy. He was more like a man. He's very tall and very muscular.
The blonde got me a bottle and filled it with blood. She sat down with me in her lap and fed me the bottle. She hummed to me a quiet lullaby and smiled. I closed my eyes as I drank from the bottle. I hoped my mother would be okay. I wasn't quite sure of what all I had just seen in that strange room.
I could hear footsteps coming down the stairs and I opened my eyes. I wasn't quite sure who's they were, but I began to hear another heartbeat. It must be Jacob. It was him. He stopped at the bottom step and looked at us. The blonde was still humming and murmuring something to me, but I wasn't paying any attention to her. She set the bottle on the table and lifted me in the air to nuzzle her face against my cheek. Jacob leaned forward with a devilish glare in his eyes. It scared me, but I felt protected in this woman's arms. I looked past her shoulders and saw that Jacob was staring back at me. He was shaking, but then he abruptly stopped. He stood up and we both noticed the sound at the same time.
A changing heart.
