Disclaimer: I don't own Nancy Drew

Scuba Diving. The one time where the only sound I hear is me breathing. No worries no troubles...just a swirl of color as a school of angel fish passes by. I spent all week helping Nancy find out who stole the Spider Sapphire from the Museum and I needed a break, so I took a weekend trip to New Mexico.

Not noticing that my tank only had a minute of air left, I kept swimming. Suddenly, not being able to breathe, I began to go numb, and no matter how hard I tried, my body wouldn't move. I was so deep that there was no way I could get to the surface. I went unconscious and began to sink to the bottom of the ocean.

I found myself, 3 days later, in the hospital. Sitting in the room were my parents, my cousin Bess and, of course, Nancy. When Bess noticed I had opened my eyes, she shrieked and they all crowded around the bed. "You went into a coma," Nancy explained. "The dive guide lost you and went back to look for you. He found you slowly sinking and brought you up, although you weren't breathing. He called 911 and they brought a helicopter to take you to the hospital."

I sat there, stunned. How could I have not noticed that my tank was almost empty? The dive guide said the tank was for 60 minutes, but I'm sure it was only about 20. Maybe I wasn't just ignorant. Maybe someone tampered with my tank!
