Hi Everyone, I got this idea when I couldn't sleep last night

Disclaimer: I sadly don't own NCIS, ,that makes me sad but read my story and I'll be happy in no time

It was midnight and everyone was sleeping, everyone that is except special agent Timothy McGee. McGee was tossing and turning in his bed as he had been doing for the past two hours. No matter how much he changed position or closed his eyes he just couldn't go to sleep, and he was tired. He decided to close his eyes again and hopefully sleep, but when it didn't work he stared at the ceiling until he glanced at his alarm clock and noticed that he had been staring at the ceiling for over an hour and it was almost two in the morning. With a sigh he decided to do something that would make him sleepy, because tomorrow or actually in a few hours he would have to go to work. If he didn't fall asleep soon, he would barely be able to function later on, and he could just imagine all the things Tony would say and assume as to why he was tired. He decided to go online and play a game hopefully that would lull him to sleep. He waited for his computer to boot up and he turned started the internet and logged on to his game. He was waiting in anticipation and hoped no one had beaten his high score, but when he got there he saw a sign saying that the website was closed as it was undergoing reconstruction. Turning off his computer in frustration he went to his typewriter and thought that he might as well get over his writer's block now that he wasn't falling asleep any time soon. As he sat at his desk, it seemed that the fates of the world had conspired against him as he neither slept nor got any new ideas; all he could think of was sleep and how great it would feel to fall asleep. He got up and sat on his couch and turned on the TV hoping that there was something interesting that he could watch figuring he wouldn't get any sleep at all. As he pressed the button on the remote, he noticed that nothing happened and he blinked his weary eyes and pushed the on button again thinking he didn't press it last time. Again nothing happened. Now this was ridiculous first he can't sleep, then he can't play online or write, and now he couldn't watch TV. With that he got up and with a determination went to the back of the TV and switched cables around and changed the remote's batteries, nothing. He was ready to throw something at the TV, when something caught his attention he moved across the room when he noticed that the TV wasn't even turned on, and with a sigh he slowly grabbed the cable and plugged it in. Instantaneously he was rewarded with a signal from his TV. He flicked around the channels and noticed that there was nothing interesting on. In the end he finally settled on a documentary about the life of squids, and as the scientist on the screen droned on and on about things that McGee could care less about, he found his mind wandering off to other things and before he knew it he was asleep.
