Disclaimer:I do not own glee or the song 'Marry me' by train.
This is a faberry oneshot I wrote for Katie…
'Forever can never be long enough for me
To feel like I've had long enough with you'
It was just another boring morning, spent eating brunch in this café. I hear a crash and as I look up from my newspaper, I see her…
It was as if an angel disguised as a waitress had suddenly appeared in front of me. Looking distressed, she is rapidly picking up the shattered pieces of a mug.A name tag saying 'Quinn' is neatly pinned on her baby blue uniform dress. I cannot help but stare as her short blonde hair falls into her eyes.
'Forget the world now we won't let them see
But there's one thing left to do'
She notices and smiles at me sweetly. My heart starts beating rapidly, and I cannot stop the cherry color appearing on my cheeks. Is there such a thing, as love at first sight? I try to look discretely back at my newspaper as if I hadn't been staring at that beautiful girl. A bell rings and I see her rise and go behind the counter quickly.
'Now that the weight has lifted
Love has surely shifted my way
Love has surely shifted my way
Marry Me
Today and every day
Marry Me.'
Looking around, I wonder when she will come back.
I think if she walks by again I might try to say hello.
'If I ever get the nerve to say "Hello" in this cafe
Say you will
Mm-hmm
Say you will
Mm-hmm'
After waiting for an hour, I realize the time and unwillingly have to leave but resolve to come back. Knowing, I will never be able to get rid of the image of those beautiful hazel eyes staring at me…
'Together can never be close enough for me
Feel like I am close enough to you
You wear white and I'll wear out the words I love you
And you're beautiful
Now that the wait is over
And love and has finally shown her my way
Marry me
Today and every day'
I had noticed the beautiful brunette sitting in the same booth alone, as she does everyday. I've always wanted to say hello but have been too nervous. I broke my fifth cup this week because I was to busy staring at her, again. Today was different though, she noticed me and I smiled at her. The way her cheeks lit up was adorable.
'Marry me
If I ever get the nerve to say "Hello" in this cafe
Say you will
Mm-hmm
Say you will
Mm-hmm'
When I came back out to clean tables, she was gone, and I knew I had lost another chance. Sadly, I continue working the beautiful day away. Finally, receiving a break I take off my apron and stare out the window. A see a short brunette and run outside looking around but finding no one. Shaking my head 'It was just your imagination.' I walk back inside and towards the booth she normally sits in. I sitting in the booth and sighing I can only hope I get to see her again.
'Promise me
You'll always be
Happy by my side
I promise to
Sing to you
When all the music dies'
Staring at the empty seat across from me I realize there is a hat sitting there but not just any hat…'It is her hat! She will have to come back now.' Picking up the hat I turn towards the door as the bell rings.
She walks in and smiles at me. As I walk towards her clutching her hat tightly I hear a soft
Hello…
'And marry me
Today and everyday
Marry me
If I ever get the nerve to say "Hello" in this cafe
Say you will
Mm-hmm
Say you will
Marry me
Mm-hmm'
