Anakin looked at Padme. "You want to know my favorite bedtime story?"

"Yes. Why not, Ani?"

Sithspawn! She knew very well he couldn't say no to that face! So he began. It was one his mother had told him to keep him out of the desert at night.

"Once upon a time, there was a jawa who never listened to anyone. He went into the desert to look for parts and was often successful, so no one really minded his carelessness. One night, he had found an especially big haul, which included a full freezer of bantha meat. He was so absorbed in his treasure that he didn't notice the twin suns of Tatooine going down, the sky getting dark, or the winds getting colder than they were in the daytime. It was only when the moon came into view that he realized what had happened, and, being a foolish jawa, started to panic. He ended up spending the night in the makeshift shelter of his find. When the night was over, the sands were in a completely different configuration than they had been the day before. He stood on his pile of broken machinery when, suddenly, a Gouka dragon swooped down upon him and stole him away, along with his precious bantha meat. For three days he was held captive in the dragon's den, waiting to be eating, until the dragon started to sleep. It slept with its mouth open. The jawa had an idea, perhaps the first sensible one he had ever had in his took all the bantha meat he could gather and, with all his strength, shoved it in the dragon's mouth. As it began to roll around, choking, fighting at the sand, the jawa, escaped and didn't stop running until he saw his family's sand crawler. And so he lived just inside the sand crawler, never going outside, fixing machinery, for the rest of his life. The end."

Padme was silent for a minute. The she said, "Cool story. Tell it again."
