Makeover Buddies, a Gravity Falls fanfiction
Takes place in AU after Weirdmageddon is over. Gideon decides to make amends with the Twins for all he's done. Enjoy!
They had finally done it. Bill and his demon horde had been defeated. The townspeople were celebrating the end of Weirdmageddon and were trying to rebuild. The twins sat on top of one of the buildings surveying the reconstruction. Dipper had suffered a broken arm and thus his left appndage was in a cast and sling. Mabel some minor cuts and bruises but she was fine.
''Well, that's it then.'' Dipper said.
''Yeah it's been quite the adventure.'' Mabel said.
''Indeed it has.'' The twins turned to see that the voice had come from Gideon. Mabel became uneasy while Dipper seemed less so.
''Don't worry, I aint gonna hurt yall. I just have something I need to say.'' he said pulling out a piece of paper. He cleared his throat and began reading,
'
'Dipper and especially Mabel,
I am so sorry for all I've done to you this past summer. Nothing excuses what I did. Dipper I am so sorry for trying to kill you and taking the journals and stealing your summer home. Do tell your Grunkle I'm sorry about that. And Mabel, I'm sorry about all that too, but I'm also sorry I pursued you as much as I did. I showed a complete lack of concern for how you felt and even tried to kill the only brother you will ever have.
I realize now I didn't love you as a person, I loved you as a possession. As some kind of prized trophy to be put on display, and I realize now how wrong that was. I still do have some feelings for you, but I can tell you now that they are genuine. Your brother is the one who showed me the error of my ways, and for that I am eternally greatful.
He put the paper down and walked over to the two. Dipper had remained silent with a neutral expression on his face while Mabel's had a look of deep thought on it.
''Gideon,'' Dipper began, You did do a lot of horrible things to us this past summer. And trying to force my sister to love you despite how she felt was not ok.''
Gideon looked down, his arms behind fim looking at his feet. ''But me and you aren't so different.''
Gidoeo then looked up at the other boy. ''You know that redheaded girl Wendy. Earlier in the summer she was dating this jerk guy and I found out he had lied to her about something. I exposed him to her and they broke up on the spot.''
Dipper said, sighing as he continued,'' But I didn't do it for her sake, I did it because I wanted to win her. I saw her as a possession, something to be owned instead of someone to be loved. Immediatley I asked her out right after she broke things off with him and she was rightfully mad at me not caring about her I can forgive you because just like I was that day you're sorry about everything you did. But my sister has to decide whether or not she wants to forgive you.''
Mabel walked over to him, looking at the boy with an unreadable face. Gideon gulped and then decided to act.
Gideon reached behind his back, bending down on one knee, and pulling a long box from behind his back. He opened it revealing lipstick eyeliner glitter, and all that other girly make up stuff.
''Mabel, will you be my makeup buddy again?'' He asked.
Mabel stood there mouth agape for a few minutes, before reaching and closing the makeup box. Gideon's eyes flashed with sadness for a moment, but then she knelt down wrapping her arms around him.
''Yes I forgive you, makeup buddy.'' She said, still hugging the ex-psychic.
He looked at Dipper, and the two gave each other a thumbs up, as the future looked bright as the sun set over the horizon.
