Waiting
Written for the prompt - The Losers, Cougar, utterly still in a sniper's position, waiting

He breathes slow, deep, relaxing into the position, ready to wait. It's a skill he's had to hone and refine over the years of his job. Everything relies on this; the crux of his job is about being still and ready, prepared.
Jensen is inside, vulnerable, but just as with any of them, it's what he's trained for, the risk he has to take. Cougar knows the danger is the same whoever has to go in. Jensen's being just a Corporal or younger than the rest of them, makes not an iota of difference. He goes in, prepared and aiming to complete his mission and the rest of them have his back in whatever way they can.
For Cougar, it means lying here in the rain, tracking Jensen's progress as much as he can through the windows of the building opposite and waiting for the job to complete without problem or the shit to hit the fan, whichever comes first.
One thing's for sure though, Cougar's keeping watch and it'll be over his dead or possibly dying body that any one of them gets injured, because he would sacrifice his life for his team-mates if it would keep any one of them alive.
