The scent of osmanthus lingered around the streets, the quiet footsteps echoing around her. She often had to actively hunt down creatures of darkness so that Nevula- to which she would refer to as her own father, Daddy- could devour them. The main purpose was to ultimately achieve humanity for her, to wait for the miracle to happen one day, for her to turn into a real human.

Alisa found herself enjoying some days off, however, spending her time walking around and enjoying the peace. She used to be obsessed with achieving their goals as fast as possible, but after meeting Fuyuki and his friends... the concept of 'fun' was something she felt she needed.

It was a waste of time, doing absolutely nothing. It didn't contribute to her goals at all.

But it was time worthily wasted.

She liked it.

Speaking of which, that boy... her eyes raised slightly upon noticing the boy from a faraway distance. Not that it probably mattered much- she was on her break, so there was absolutely no need to hurry with finding the creatures of darkness that somehow loved to gather around Fuyuki.

But the boy noticed her and smiled and waved. He ran over to her, albeit tiredly. "Alisa, what are you doing here?" he asked.

Alisa stared. "...just walking around."

Fuyuki scratched his head. "N-not going to find and hunt creatures around the world?"

She shook her head slowly. "Currently on a break."

Her adoptive father, Nevula stretched and formed an arm from one of the fake cat ears attached on her head like a hairband. "Alisa decided to take a short break from hunting and enjoy the view, you see? Truly, becoming more human-like every moment."

The boy chuckled. "That's nice, then. I'm thinking of heading to the library." He noticed a nearby vending machine, with a varying selection of cans and bottles and juice boxes. "Say, do you want some juice?" he asked.

She tilted her head. "...sure."

Fuyuki proceeded to insert some coins, and two juice boxes fell. He grabbed them and offered a box of grape juice to the osmanthus-scented girl. "Ah, do you want one too, Nevula?"

"No, thank you. I'm not feeling that hungry right now," the deity said.

Fuyuki nodded. "Anyways, I'm going to look more into various cryptids and mythical monsters." He offered a hand to the girl. "Want to come with me?"

Again, Alisa tilted her head. "...sure." She accepted the hand and walked alongside the boy.

Immediately, he began discussing about aliens and creatures and all sorts of theories, and she noticed the huge smile on his face.

...cute, she said in her head.

Then she quickly dismissed the thought, not understanding why she thought that.

Alisa took her time to finish the juice box she had received from him.

It was nice.
