Sasuke was watching as his friend Naruto was playing with a ball and laughing hysterically.
"Hey Sasuke come play with me!" Naruto called and Sasuke trotted over and sat in front of Naruto.
"No Sasuke you have to sit back farther so I can roll it to you and then you can roll it back."
"Ok Naruto." Sasuke said and walked back a little bit and then sat again. "How is this Naruto?"
Naruto just nodded and then rolled the ball to Sasuke. Sasuke caught it and rolled in back. They did that for a while and their mothers were watching a talking.
"You know they seem to be best friends and they play very well together." Naruto's mother voiced as Sasuke's mother looked up and smiled.
Naruto jumped up and tackled/hugged Sasuke. Sasuke was smiling and hugged Naruto tightly.
"Sasuke?" "What Naruto?" Sasuke asked and Naruto blushed and looked away.
"Naruto what is it? Is something wrong?" Naruto shook his head and let go of Sasuke.
"It's just… I want us to be friends forever and I never want to lose you. So please will you be my best friend… forever?" Naruto asked. His voice was laced with worry and hope.
Sasuke smiled. "Yeah Naruto we can be best friends forever." Naruto smiled brightly and hugged Sasuke again.
Their mothers smiled at the heart-warming scene. And they agreed they would be best friends forever.
