Redemption: Illidan
Since I was feeling suicidal I decided to start my career on this website with a series of stories called redemption. It is, as the title suggests, a series about redeeming certain villains in the Warcraft universe. For a redemption story to hold water the character needs to have redeeming qualities. So Xavius is right out. Redemption does not equal forgiveness however Arthas is still a mass murderer and a traitor and Illidan betrayed all he stood for. They are not about to get welcomed with open arms
The path of redemption is never easy, but as long as one person is willing to help you along the way there is hope.
Prologue: A meeting
In a small forested clearing a cloaked figure suddenly appeared. He looked around and spotted a night elf. The night elf looked up his face reflecting surprise at the others sudden appearance.
"I'm surprised to see you here? How did you find me?" Asked the night elf
"I came to ask for your help. You should have expected this years ago. As to how I found you, well I have my ways."
"Ask for my help?"
"I need you to come out of retirement. Nothing to0 challenging, yet, just join the Theramore guard and become Lady Proudmore's chief guard. She will need your wisdom and protection in the coming months."
"Why would she chose a night elf?"
"Because of your talent and heroism"
"I'm no hero"
"Everyone else would disagree with that assessment."
"What will you be doing?"
A hint of red emerged from the shadows of the second figure.
"I have an apprentice to discipline."
Well the prologue is done, I guess. I'm not too happy with it as it needs more besides dialogue. Will likely update it before posting chapter one. First person to guess the identity of both speakers gets a prize. (They're both cannon)
