:: He sacrificed himself, in the same way that his love did for her son. He died for his loved ones son. For a child that was had with another man… He gave his life, and risked everything he had, but he gained so much more:
'Look… at… me…'
Snape opened his eyes for the first time in what seemed like ages. The place he was now laying was far different from the ground of the shrieking shack. At first it was far too dark to see, but he could hear the sobbing of a young boy.
"Ha-Harry…" he muttered. But there was no response. Where was he, had his body be moved? He slowly staggered to his feat feeling his face. The pain was gone, and there were no more traces of blood. Although he knew that magic could instantly fix his scars, the truth was inevitable. He was dead. This thought was confirmed in an instant once he saw Dumbeldore slowly approaching him. His eyes were more adjusted to the dark now, and he could see that he was now standing in an unfamiliar train station. He walked toward Dumbeldore, but was halted by a sound coming from beneath him. Looking down his black eyes fell upon a young, crying boy, lying on the ground.
"Ignore him Severus." Said Dumbeldore coolly. "He will be ready when he is ready."
"Ready?" Asked Snape. "You mean there is a choice?"
"For him, I'm afraid not. But you on the other hand… you were very brave Severus. You sacrificed yourself for the boy." Raising an eyebrow, he continued, "Or was it for someone else."
Snape seemed to ignore his comment, but inside his mind lit up with her image, her eyes…
"They are very a very lovely shade of green, aren't they Severus?" Dumbeldore smiled. "Does Harry know what must be done?"
"If not by now, then soon. He has my memories. I'm sure even Mr. Potter could figure out what to do with it."
"Good. Then let us get to the situation at hand. Unlike this boy, you have a choice. But I am sure what you will choose."
Snape's heart felt like it would leap out of his throat. 'After all this time.' He thought.
"She will be very glad to see you I am sure." Dumbeldore smiled widely. "She will be proud of who you have become." Snape nodded to him, and he continued. "You may board the train, Severus. You best go, I am expecting Mr. Potter in only a short while."
Snape's heart skipped a beat as his foot touched the cold steel of the train. "Lily" he muttered. And for the first time in years, Snape's smile was inerasable.
