Spiritual Autobiography:

I became a Christian at only six years old, because my mother was attending a church, and took me and my brother and sister along with her. The two verses that I can remember from that time are John 3:16 and Romans 6:23. John 3:16 I remember because it was surprising to me that anyone would be willing to give up their son for someone that they didn't know. At the time I didn't realize that God knew who I was. I remember Romans 6:23 because to me it sums up the entire gospel message. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." To me this meant that I did something wrong, and the punishment is death, but God gave me something for free, so that I could be with him, because he loves me that much.

John 11:35 had a huge impact on my life. The story of when Lazarus died and Jesus came to see his family, and he cried for the death of a friend. Although it is only two words long, this verse has probably had the most influence on my life. Knowing that Jesus wept for his friend, even when he knew that he would rise again, made me realize how much Jesus cried for the lost. I decided that I had to stop sitting by and make an effort to reach the lost people in this world.

Jeremiah 29:11 is also a big verse in my life. I have been through some situations that caused me to wonder why God had put me in the place that he did. It was through this verse that I realized that God had a plan for my life, and that it was a good one. Looking back on those years now, I can see that I have a way to help other people who are confused and don't understand why things happen to them.

Plan of Salvation:

Romans 3:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Sins are the mistakes we have made, when we didn't follow Gods commandments. Sin separates us from God, making it impossible for us to reach him on our own. It would be like trying to swim up a waterfall. But John 3:16 tells us that "God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him shall have eternal life." This means that because of how much God loved us, he sent his only son to die on a cross in place of us. But Jesus didn't stay dead, instead he rose again, and he now sits at God's hand and acts our bridge to reach God when we die.
