Mick is one of the sons of the iron dragons, Metalicana and Barsa, and was taught Iron Dragon Slayer magic alongside his twin, Gajeel Redfox.
On July 7, X777, they woke up, to see Metalicana and Barsa had left them.
Mick wanted to travel to look for Metalicana, but Gajeel didn't, he was unhappy with their parents.
One night Mick left Gajeel to look for their Parents, knowing they wouldn't just leave them.
Mick planned on going back to Gajeel a few days later, but he got lost.
He ran into Natsu Dragneel, another Dragon Slayer, they were both looking for their parent/parents.
Mick and Natsu soon ended up a Fairy Tail and joined them in hopes of finding their family.
After finally getting his brother back Mick loses him on Tenrou Island.
