Comfort

On a cold night in the mountains, Ty Lee curled up against Azula beneath a towering tree. Nothing can help the horrid discomfort she feels, even if she would not change this situation for the world. No, maybe she would. Maybe she would find a way to return home and be with her true love.

For now, however, that was not an option.

"It's awful out here," complained Ty Lee softly, wrapping herself more tightly around Azula.

"I know, but it was your choice to accompany me," said Azula, opening her eyes. "Do you think I want to be here?"

"No, of course not," whispered Ty Lee. "It really pales in comparison to the palace."

"Go to sleep," ordered Azula.

Ty Lee could not. She stared up at the stars and tried to control her shivering.

Even Azula was not enough to keep her warm tonight.
