Hello and welcome writers and readers of all ages to my very first challenge. Now one day I was looking around for something to read when I suddenly found myself in Voltron Legendary Defender's crossover section. Oddly enough I found no Ben 10 crossovers. So I thought to myself that it would be an interesting story. Now I am well aware that you will probably write something completely different, but if you want here is my idea and challenge to you.
So the main idea is that the Ben 10 universe exists in the same universe as Voltron LD, and the Plumbers have been fighting against the Galra empire. Think Star Wars Rebels vs Empire. Amidst the ensuing conflict Azmuth decides to give the Omnitrix to help stop the Galra, but due to an ambush the devise is lost only to be found by a wielder later on.
Now here is where I set up a couple of rules:
1) The Paladins of Voltron do not use the Omnitrix. It has to be either Ben or an OC.
2) The wielder of the Omnitrix will not meet the Paladins right away as he or she is working with the Plumbers to fight the Galra empire.
3) The Omnitrix is a little damaged allowing the wielder to only have access to 10 aliens. You may choose which ten aliens.
4) You may add a few Ben 10 villains to the story but give them your own spin on them to make it more interesting. For example Vilgax is a world conqueror that has been dubbed the Pirate King because he's conquered remote sectors filled with all sorts of alien monsters.
5) The Galra look down on other races much like in the show, and are oblivious to aliens with super powers.
6) Azmuth's family has a connection with the Altean royal family or at least are aware of how things work and how Voltron came to be.
7) If you're going to make redeemable villains be sure to make them good and if they are evil and unredeemable keep them that way.
8) Don't just copy paste the shows, try to put your own spin on the story.
